Char Kaman - signifie quatre portes.

I was so grateful that the tour manager allowed me to reschedule the tour outside the app, because I had purchased the tour for the wrong day, I am so grateful. The architecture and beauty of the centuries old structures was a sight to see. The walking tour of Charminar, Mecca Masjid and the beautiful Chowmahalla Palace were amazing to visit. The stop at the Iranian chai cafe/bakery was a special treat. My guide Mr. Rajendra and my driver Mr. Ramesh, took great care of me also providing tidbits about the historical sites to and from the Old City. However the reason why I gave this tour 4 instead of 5 stars, was the time spent being persuaded to purchase items at stops along the way. This certainly is common practice around the world for select vendors and tour guides to work together- I get it. I just wish the sales pitch time could have been spent walking around the Teangana government building or at the nearby memorial, Amarula Smarakam, which we rode by on the way back to my hotel. Overall great walking tour with a knowledgeable guide.

Guide had depth of knowledge of Charmniar, Chowmahalla Palace. Enjoyed Laad Bazaar. Adjusted to my requests on the fly (e.g., more detailed history); answered my questions thoughtfully, and was able to get me back ion time. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed it!
We booked this exciting tour for our overseas business clients, it was executed very well by the local Guide Mr Matta, from the beginning until the completion of the tour the walk filled lot of historical information related to Hyderabad and Indian history. Explored bazaars, Iranian tea with cookies along with historical sites like Charminar and Castle. We recommend this tour for anyone who look for old city walking tour in Hyderabad.
The tour was just me (not what i expected) and the tour guide got in my hotel car and had him drive us all around, which made me uncomfortable. I asked a few times to go into stores and he said no, he knows better places. He took me to a pearl store where i was misled into purchasing fake pearls VERY overpriced. He then tried to get me to buy other things and when I refused his offer, he had the driver take us there anyway. I said i did not want to go, and he told me to go in anyway. I then looked around, said it’s very nice, and that i wanted to leave. He said we should just stay and buy something. At that point i walked out the door and got back in the car. The guide rode to the hotel and followed me into my hotel, where he said he was just getting water from the lobby. There are water bottles in the car and he did not need to come inside. I waited until i made sure he did not follow me before going to my room. As a female solo traveler, i would NOT recommend this tour. He clearly is being paid off by the shop owners and looking to scam people. The only reason i gave 2 stars is because he clearly is very proud of his culture and wants to share his knowledge with others.
Dear Guest, You made 02 different statements. You also mentioned in the review, that you insisted Guide to take to shops, but our Guide denied couple of times. You also made a statement that "The only reason i gave 2 stars is because he clearly is very proud of his culture and wants to share his knowledge with others". We enquired with the Hotel's Car Driver, he explained that you wanted to go to shops and same thing with the Guide, but our Guide had clearly explained and never wanted to encourage towards shops. Since insisted many times by you, during the tour they suggested to go to nearby shop in the downtown. You also said FAKE material, you are always have a right to return the material and get the refund if the material found fake. We have also enquired about, Guide reaching at Hotel Lobby. Since it is a monsoon season, it was heavily raining as a human being Guide wanted to use Hotel's Wash Room (WC) not for the water. We would like to address the matter, as the statements are not clear and not connected to each other. Thank you.!!!
We have explored the old city tour with a expert local guide Raj which is memorable experience of bangle bazaars silk shops food outlets like Iranian tea with cookies. We learned lot of history of Charminar, Unani Hospital, Mosque, Ashurkhana and Castle next to Charminar by walk and walking on bazaars is really amazing experience. We recommend this tour for any one looking for half day walking experience in downtown.
Really nice knowledgeable guide - I learned so much from him. Would recommend!
This was an excellent tour and we really felt we discovered the city and the culture. The history was fascinating and the architecture stunning. The visit to the café to taste the Iranian tea and pastries was a highlight as was the beautiful Hindu temple. I would really recommend this tour. Our guide Mr Matta was excellent.
The best part of the tour was our tour guide. He was very respectful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He did a great job and put a lot of effort into explaining each palace and the history behind it. He really made the experience much more enjoyable
Good experience. Prompt communication. Flexible with itinerary and tailored to needs including adding an extra stop. Highly recommended.
