Ce magnifique temple dédié à Lord Rudreshwara (Shiva) et site du patrimoine mondial a été construit au 13ème siècle sous le règne du souverain Kakatiya Ganapati Deva. La structure en grès est une pièce d'architecture remarquable avec ses poutres décorées et ses piliers de granit sculpté. Une caractéristique distincte de ce temple est l'utilisation de briques poreuses légères ou « briques flottantes », pour réduire le poids de la structure du toit.
Le temple Bhadrakali est l'un des plus anciens temples dédiés au culte de la déesse mère. C'est cette divinité de la déesse qui possédait le diamant Kohinoor comme œil gauche au 14ème siècle. Construit en 625 après JC, il est situé dans un cadre pittoresque sur les rives du lac Bhadrakali. La structure du temple est soutenue par des piliers carrés, une déclaration de style unique en architecture. Un point culminant de ce temple est la sculpture d'un lion féroce, le véhicule sacré de la Déesse, faisant face au sanctuaire.
Notre destination finale dans la visite de Warangal est le temple aux mille piliers, l'un des plus beaux spécimens de l'architecture Kakatiya. Construit en 1163 après JC par le roi Rudra Deva, le temple possède trois sanctuaires dédiés au dieu Shiva, Vishnu et au dieu du soleil. Le temple a 1000 piliers, dont chacun est orné de riches sculptures. Le point culminant de l'architecture est que les 1000 piliers sont construits de telle manière qu'aucun d'entre eux n'obstrue la vue sur le sanctuaire. Le temple entier ressemble à la forme d'une étoile et les piliers ont des sculptures complexes d'œuvres d'art sur eux. La conception du temple est telle que les rayons du soleil du matin tombent directement sur le Shiva Lingam.

We had an enjoyable trip to Ramappa temple, the 1000 pillar temple and Badrakali temple with a knowledgeable guide. She explained the history of the temples and the Kakatheya empire. The tour had a comfortable SUV and the driver was good at navigating traffic. Overall a very enjoyable trip, I recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning about history of the region.
My teenage son and I had a great day. It is a long car trip, but our guide, Sashi, and the driver made sure everything was taken care of. Their flexibility and attention really made the trip feel customized to us. Ramappa Temple is a fantastic blend of engineering and craftsmanship. At the temple we met an additional expert guide who showed us all of the details and explained the meaning behind them. One thing I wish I had known was that since shoes must be removed when visiting active temples, sandals or other easy-off shoes are ideal.
The trip to visit the three temples, with Ramappa being the highlight, was outstanding. Such an immersing experience and absoulutely worth it. Sainath is a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable. He really took his time to explain details and guide around the temples. The food was also excellent.
PhD Sathish was very professional and knowledgeable about Indian history. He was great detail to induce rich Indian history. We had great trip.
Amazing tour, the experience was very enjoyable. I really liked the ancient temples and the explanations given by the guide.
The guide, Srinu, was very knowledgeable, the temples very fascinating, and lunch was delicious as well. My only marks against the tour are: 1) The fact it's a 4 hour trip each way, which wasn't clear from the info here. Knowing that ahead of time would have been nice to be able to plan accordingly. 2) After getting back to Hyderabad we went to a shop with an *extremely* pushy owner who wouldn't accept no for an answer and just kept pestering me to buy very expensive things. Having to tell a guy no over and over again for 30 minutes is not my idea of fun and really took away from the experience.
Again another great history tour from our guide (Srinu).learned another interesting history about the India's hyderabad region. Showed us the cuisine of the area. Again if you like history of other countries this is the way to go.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience on this tour! As a solo female traveler, I couldn’t have felt more comfortable or well taken care of on this tour. The guide Sainath was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing not only detailed historical facts but also captivating stories that made the history come alive. Our driver Veera was equally impressive – he drove smoothly and safely, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing ride for all of us. On top of that, he was extremely courteous and attentive to my needs. The food was another highlight, offering an authentic taste of local cuisine that was both delicious and satisfying. This tour is highly recommended, especially with Sainath and Veera leading the way. Their passion and professionalism made it an unforgettable adventure!
The visit to this temple was worth the travel time of 4 hours one way. It was the most beautiful, esthetically pleasing temple so far and the amazing mason work most impressive. A highlight of my trip to India! 😎😊👍🙏
