Very nice ride, we were 2 we could take full advantage of the explanations by Andrews. Christien was able to educate his hair with his finger and the eye, they are adorable. I highly recommend the experience it was great.
Fantastic afternoon with Ezekial (Gato) and Cowboy Chris. Packed with fascinating facts on the local flora & fauna and coffee plantations as we were taken through the stunning foothills. The horses were easy to ride even with minimal experience. We stopped off at an impressive waterfall and tried some coffee beans whilst Gato gave us some great info on the coffee making process. Once back in town we were treated to the delicious coffee, pancakes and fresh fruit. A truly special afternoon as a family, one we’ll cherish for many years to come! Pura vida!
Fabulous! Wonderful coffee farm working with nature- shade tolerant trees under the canopies of large native trees. We all loved riding through the hacienda with the fab staff. Thank you.
The tour was fun and we learned so much. Everyone was exceptionally kind, the views breathtaking, and the coffee was the best! Our three kids (ages 8, 12, and 14) loved it.
It was a beautiful experience! The horses very well kept and meek for inexperienced people. The very friendly guides
Amazing experience, super nice guides, well trained horses and beautiful waterfalls!!!! Can absolutely recommend to adults and kids.
If you are looking for a unique experience that combines culture and horseback riding, this tour will leave you in awe. I highly recommend it! The entire experience was truly amazing. We went horseback riding to a waterfall, passing through coffee fields, forests, and a village. Afterward, we returned to a charming farmer’s house for a quick snack, along with coffee / hot chocolate. The farmhouse is authentically Costa Rican, filled with character and charm, and beautifully designed with many unique pieces of furniture and art.
All activities and venues far exceeded our expectations. La Scenic beauty, the warmth of all who welcomed us, the locals, the animals, the food and the affection. Thank you very much.
The tour was fantastic. Our ride through the coffee plantation on horseback was relaxing and the Aquiares Waterfall was magical. Our guide Andrew was very knowledgeable about coffee and fun facts about Costa Rica. We had a very lovely morning and at the end we got to try some delicious coffee grown and made right there at the source with an assortment of fruit and handmade bread. I was skeptical that this would be fun for my 6 year old but she absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this excursion.
Experience Aquiares Coffee Farm My husband and I did a 4-hour horse riding afternoon tour. We decided to take a public bus from San Jose to Turrialba. I discovered that public transportation in Costa Rica is safe, organized, efficient, and very affordable ($3.00 one way for both of us). We got to enjoy the scenery during the two-hour trip. We were received at Casa Hacienda La Esperanza with a delicious home-grown and brewed coffee, bread, and fruits before beginning our ride through the coffee farm. Next time, we have to stay a few days at La Esperanza as the place is truly beautiful. The best asset of the tour is the wonderful people who received us. Our guide, Andrew, was friendly and very informative about Aquiares coffee farm, the largest in Costa Rica. Christian, who guided the horses, was very patient and also shared information about the coffee country. We got to see the waterfall, river, church, community, and the coffee shop (buy coffee there!). We truly enjoyed this experience; it is highly recommended.
