Description
Castel di Salve est l'un des domaines viticoles historiques des Pouilles, fondé en 1885 à Depressa par Antonio Winspeare, duc de Salve, dans le but de produire des vins de table de qualité. Aujourd'hui, le domaine viticole est dirigé par les quatrième et cinquième générations de la famille Winspeare. Fiers de la tradition de nos ancêtres, nous continuons aujourd’hui encore à cultiver cette même terre pour produire des vins de caractère, à la fois purs et élégants. La majeure partie de nos activités agricoles se déroule dans le domaine familial historique « Masseria Bosco Belvedere », situé au cœur géographique du Bas-Salento. L'accent est mis sur les cépages autochtones du Salento, tels que le Verdeca, le Negroamaro, la Malvasia Nera di Lecce et le Primitivo. Nous exploitons par ailleurs un autre petit vignoble à Depressa ainsi que d'autres parcelles dans le Bas-Salento, pour un total d'environ 31 hectares de vignes.

What a nice tour and delicious wines in a very nice environment!
Great experience and very original wines
Excellent experience, highly recommend for anyone in the Southern Puglia region on holiday. Our host Lujan was very knowledgeable and a wonderful host.
We enjoyed an informative tour and beautiful lunch with the proprietors of Castel di Salve Winery. This is a small, family owned winery with a 150 year old pedigree. They produce classic wines from mostly estate grown varieties found in southern Italy, and more specifically, the Puglia/Salento area. If you are a wine lover, like us, and want to expand your knowledge and appreciation of these lesser known grape varieties and the terroir they grown in, we highly recommend you visit.

After a friendly reception by one of the hostesses we were professionally guided through the authentic winery, estates and wine cellar. After the tour we were offered an extensive wine tasting of various types of wines. We really enjoyed and also got to learn a lot about the diversity of wines and their origin. Thank you!
The tour was interesting and the wines were quite good, particularly their Lama del Tenente. Easily the best wine we tasted in Salento. Commentary from the owner added a lot of interesting information and entertainment. A tour not to be missed!
We came to Puglia to learn and taste the wine, and Riccardo delivered with this experience. Wonderful tour of the winery, learning about the family generations that have developed the business, and finishing with a fabulous tasting.
