Randonnée à la cascade de La Leona Une visite privée intime du sentier le plus hors des sentiers battus jusqu'à la cascade de La Leona. La journée consiste en une randonnée modérée de 2 heures le long des eaux bleues du Rio Blanco situées au fond des canyons du volcan Rincon de la Vieja, où vous observerez la faune avec votre guide local tout au long du chemin. Vous serez guidé le long du sentier ombragé qui remonte la rivière, en vous arrêtant près de 5 piscines différentes et en passant par un canyon de pierre, des grottes et de petites cascades jusqu'à atteindre l'entrée du canyon qui mène à la cascade de La Leona. Ici, vous mettez vos affaires dans un sac étanche pour sauter dans l'eau et nager sur une courte distance jusqu'à la cascade. La cascade a une plage de pierre devant elle où vous pouvez prendre des photos. Il y a aussi une belle piscine pour barboter. Guide touristique local professionnel et déjeuner de style costaricien inclus Important: Les sentiers comportent de nombreux rochers et racines. Certaines sections impliquent la natation et la traversée de la rivière. Des gilets de sauvetage sont fournis.

Une visite privée intime le long de l'un des sentiers les plus hors des sentiers battus jusqu'à la cascade de La Leona. Profitez d'une randonnée modérée de 2 heures le long des eaux bleues du Río Blanco, au cœur des canyons du volcan Rincón de la Vieja. En chemin, votre Guide local vous aidera à repérer la faune tout en explorant des sentiers ombragés, 5 piscines naturelles, un canyon en pierre, des grottes, et de petites cascades avant d'atteindre l'entrée du canyon à La Leona. Au canyon, vous placerez vos affaires dans un sac sec, puis vous nagerez à une courte distance de la cascade. Profitez de la plage de pierre, prenez des photos et détendez-vous dans la piscine avant le déjeuner. Recommandé pour les enfants de 4 ans et plus. Les parents doivent utiliser leur discrétion en fonction des capacités et du niveau de confort de leur enfant. Ce circuit s'adresse aux randonneurs n'ayant pas de blessures physiques ou de problèmes de santé actuels. Le sentier a de nombreux rochers et racines, avec des sections impliquant la baignade et la traversée de rivières. Nous ne recommandons pas cette visite pour toute personne mal à l'aise dans l'eau. Our family hike with our guide Alejandro was the BEST! We opted for self drive & the team made it easy to find them at the pick up spot. We had an incredible time thanks to Alejandro’s experience and knowledge of the waterfall and hiking paths as well as his sense of humor and Pura Vida vibes. Magda was awesome as well and had an incredible lunch waiting for us afterward. Showers to change in are nearby and super clean too. TY Alejandro & Magda!

We really enjoyed our tour with Ro as our guide. Magda was so nice too and the lunch after that she set up was delicious and fun and a good value. The actual tour with Ro was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable and really seems to enjoy being in the forest. He showed us many plants and animals that we would have walked right by and taught us a lot. He is also an experienced canyoner. He was patient and genuine and fun to be around. This tour was a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Thank you Ro and Magda!

This was a wonderful experience. Note all the things they ask for you can leave on your car or at the starting point. We took it with us and would have loved if someone told us we could have left it. It was alot to carry. The views were beautiful, our guide Alejandro was great. The food was delicious too and the juice was so refreshing. We are so happy we made the 2.5 hr drive for this experience

Meet up spot was easy to find. We were the only two people going at our time. Magda met us there, where we signed waivers and loaded into a truck that drove to the start of the tour. If given the choice, take their truck, it is a rough road. Alejandro was our guide. Speaks English fluently. Took many pictures and videos of us and shared some fun facts, such as the killer tree and banging on the hollow tree. Hike was intermediate difficulty. Alejandro offered a helping hand at slippery spots. River crossings are assisted by a rope. Rock climbs are assisted by short ladders. I wore tennis shoes and my girlfriend wore water shoes; we were both comfortable. The waterfall at the end was a great payoff. We were the only ones there and swam freely around the waterfall. The water was a comfortable temperature and neither of us were cold. The provided lunch offered a choice of meat (pork, beef, or fish) and fried plantain chips, rice, black beans, small salad, and fresh mango juice from the nearby mango trees (which was delicious!). I didn't get any bug bites, but my girlfriend got a few. Would recommend some bug spray beforehand. The hike itself is shaded, so no need for sunblock. Overall, was a very fun experience, and would highly recommend for anybody looking for a more intimate waterfall tour where you can get right up in the waterfall.

Last minute adventure we signed up the day before and lucky for us, we had Jason as our guide and we had all his attention as we were the only 2 people he had for the day! This was our favorite hike we have ever done! We were in great hands with Jorge G. as our driver. He shared lots of info and was so friendly. Jason was our hike guide and he was so nice and funny. We had a great time and highly recommend doing this excursion!!
I went with my 22 year old son & we had a great time! Nata (Nathaniel) was our guide and he did a fantastic job of giving us information about the area & keeping us safe! We drove ourselves to the meeting point & then got into one of their vehicles which took us to the start of the hike. We hiked for maybe 45 minutes to an hour to get to La Leona. Along the way we had to cross the river a couple of times. You WILL get wet! You have to walk across mid-calf depth water and then chest deep water. You also have to swim the last part to get to the falls. There is a guide rope to help with this. There are also a couple of small ladders to climb along the trail. The waterfall itself is beautiful! & the water is so much cooler than the ocean. After a hike, it was very refreshing! After hiking back, we had an opportunity to change clothes & then had a typical costa-rican lunch - meat, rice, beans, vegetables & salad. In total, since we drove ourselves, it was about 3 hours. It was not crowded at the falls but we passed many groups heading there when we were leaving. On the way out, we got to jump off of a couple of rocks into the deep pools below which was a lot of fun too! I would definitely do this again! My son loved this too!
