This was one of the best things we did on our trip to New York and we did a lot . The guide was amazing taught us a lot about Harlem and its history and helped us understand the community. The church service was moving the music was rocking! Do not miss this!
Wow — thank you for this! "One of the best things we did in New York" is the kind of review that makes our whole team light up, especially when you did a lot on your trip. That means the world to us. We're so glad your guide brought Harlem to life for you — the history, the community, the context that makes this neighborhood what it is. Understanding Harlem isn't just about the landmarks; it's about the people and the stories that have always been the heartbeat of this place, and it sounds like that came through beautifully. And yes — the gospel service. There's really nothing like a Sunday morning in a Harlem church. That music lifts the roof every single time, and we're thrilled you got to experience it fully. The brunch afterward is the perfect soul-food finish to a soul-filled morning. Thank you for the enthusiastic recommendation — "do not miss this" is high praise, and we don't take it lightly. We hope you'll come back to Harlem for another tour soon. There's always more music, more history, and more community waiting for you. Warmly, Carolyn
Educational, walking, church and the restaurant food was great. Johnathon was a great tour guide. 🙏🏾
Thank you so much for these wonderful words! We're thrilled that the Harlem Gospel and Brunch Tour resonated with you so deeply. Jonathan truly is exceptional—his passion for Harlem's history and culture shines through in every step of the tour, and we're so grateful he could guide you through this meaningful experience. Your recognition of his dedication means the world to him and to our entire team. We're delighted that the educational and spiritual elements of the walking tour and church visit touched your heart. These are at the very core of what we aim to share—the authentic soul and sacred traditions of our community. And we're equally pleased that the restaurant food and hospitality added that perfect finishing touch to your day with us. Creating these holistic experiences that weave together culture, spirituality, and community is our true passion. Moments like yours remind us why we do this work. We'd love to welcome you back soon. Thank you for celebrating Harlem with us! 🙏🏾
The small group Harlem experience with a local, known, connected guide was the key. We learned history, saw landmarks and public art and experienced gospel music. Perhaps the best, was conversation with a knowledgeable, engaging guide and other travelers. Not a food tour per se, but lunch at a local coffee shop was great. The tour was worth every penny.
Thank you for this beautifully thoughtful review! You've captured exactly what makes our Harlem Gospel and Brunch Tour special—it's about authentic connection. Our local guide's deep roots and genuine knowledge transform a tour into a real conversation about our community's rich history, landmarks, and vibrant art. But as you so perfectly noted, the true magic happens when travelers connect with each other and our guide over shared stories and experiences. That's the heart of Harlem. We're grateful you appreciated the authentic local coffee shop lunch and felt the value in every moment. We'd love to welcome you back—and please bring friends and family to experience this magic with you! With warm gratitude, Welcome to Harlem
I had a wonderful moment to visit Harlem today and know his story as well as attending the Sunday mass Our guide (Kaissa) was of eloquence and sincerity that moved me a lot It was a great moment of sharing Thank you for these services of exceptional quality
Hi, I think you wrote the review for the wrong company. We don't have a guide named Kaissa. However, we are glad that you enjoyed your time in Harlem -:)
We had an incredible experience on this tour. Being able to have a small group tour with a local was amazing. We learned so much about the history of Harlem, and enjoyed a wonderful meal.
It was a great concert, beautiful voices & a great atmosphere. Our guide Johnathon was a wonderful guide full of knowledge on the area, it's history & so much more, we couldn't have asked for better. Harlem & it's communities are wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this kind review! There's nothing quite like a Harlem gospel service — those voices, that atmosphere, the feeling in the room. We're so glad you got to experience it fully on our Harlem Gospel and Brunch Guided Tour. That's a morning we love sharing with guests. Jonathan really does bring the whole picture to life — the history, the neighborhood, the communities that have always been Harlem's heart. We're lucky to have him on our team, and we'll be sure to pass your kind words along. Your words about Harlem and its communities being wonderful mean so much to us. That's exactly what we want every guest to take home with them. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience — we'd love to welcome you back anytime. Carolyn
The tour was wonderful! Our guide, Joseph, was interesting and very knowledgeable about Harlem. It was exciting to hear about some of the history of the area. My only negative was that there was a dress code listed stating no jeans or sneakers which I understood because we were going to church. However, our guide was in jeans and sneakers as were others on the tour. I brought seniors who would have been much more comfortable wearing sneakers. The church itself was filled with people dressed in every way, shorts, jeans, sneakers, etc.
Hi Karen, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback about your Harlem Gospel and Brunch Tour experience with Joseph. We're absolutely delighted to hear that you found the tour wonderful and that Joseph's knowledge and passion for Harlem's rich history made such a positive impression on you. We sincerely apologize for the confusion regarding our dress code policy. You're absolutely right to point out this inconsistency, and we understand how frustrating it must have been to prepare according to our stated guidelines only to find that the actual environment was much more casual. We believe that wearing shorts and t-shirts is inappropriate when visiting a church, and we advise our clients to choose more suitable attire. Thank you again for choosing our tour service and for bringing this important matter to our attention. We hope you and your group were still able to enjoy learning about Harlem's fascinating history despite this inconvenience. Best regards,
The tour guide was extremely informative. There was so much to learn about the area. I enjoyed the church service, the brunch, and the time was perfect.
Highly recommended for those who want to give back to the community, since it's heritage is rich in culture. Tour guide is a local and has been through the changes. Lots to be learnt! And to finish off with a sit-down brunch for further discussion is fantastic! Truely a quality tour!
Very knowledgeable and conversational local guide. Full of surprising and intriguing stories and facts about Harlem. The people at the church were warm and welcoming. We really got a taste of the community. Brunch afterwards was a plus and we enjoyed our fellow tour takers! International!

Harlem has such a rich history, and we're glad we could share its stories with you. It’s also great to hear that you felt welcomed by the church community and enjoyed the brunch and company of fellow travelers. We appreciate you joining us and hope to see you again on another adventure!
