This tour made me feel like a tourist. The Panama Canal tour was very informative. Our tour guide Dimos was super intelligent and knowledgeable. His English was superb and accommodated our shopping at a local souvenir market which was very inexpensive The tour of the old colonial city was nice too. There was free water provided and the van was air conditioned. I would do it again if I brought the rest of my family. 10/10
Tony was our guide for the private tour, he was great. We had a long layover coming back from our South America trip to the U.S. Having never been to Panama, this was the perfect fit for us. Tony was very flexible with pickup and dropoff at the airport. Tony was a very safe driver, with his new SUV. We told him our flight times ahead of time, and he filled it up perfectly with attractions and sights to see. Follow Tony’s advice to go see the canal first thing in the morning, he knows all the details to avoid the big crowds and get into position for best views and short lines.

We squeezed this tour into a long layover we had on the way back from Chile and we were so happy we did. Our guide Jorge was very informative and the company was very professional. Everything went smoothly. We learned so much and had a great time. Importantly for us the company monitors the ship traffic and does their best to time tje visit to the canal so you can see the real life operations in practice. An amazing and fun afternoon to learn more about Panama, the canal, and the old city and its history. Highly recommend.
Punctual and precise even for the hotel pickup and drop-off, despite the traffic in Panama. Ronald was very good at explaining the history, the operating mechanism of the canal, and also at pointing out the best spots to take photos of the canal as well as inside the historic center of Panama, where he led us on a walk to see the most important sites.
Our guide was nice, punctual, and knowledgeable, but the tour itself was definitely not worth the price. The online itinerary is not accurate, and the experience felt very rushed. This is mostly a drive-around tour where the guide talks while you stay in the car. You do not really get time to walk around, explore, or enjoy the stops. He did stop for pictures when we asked, which we appreciated, but this is not a leisure tour. You will not see as much as the description makes it seem. Also, even though my hotel was listed for pickup and my booking confirmed pickup, they added a $40 pickup fee. Since this was supposed to be a private tour, I do not understand why I would be expected to go to another hotel for pickup. If you are okay staying in the car most of the time and just want to get to the locks early, this may work for you. But if you want a relaxed private tour where you can actually experience the places listed, I would not recommend this one.
Dear Mrs Elle: this is our first time in 17 years that we receive a misleading review like this. Partial refund: first reason you gave was unexpected medical situations and second reason on a different request was that we did not get to the places marked on the itinerary and that you were even rushed. Nothing close to the truth! Your tour started on time and you were dropped at your hotel as planned after 5.5 hours. French plaza is closed due remodeling, so, nobody can get in; not only us! It is out of our control. All of you attended the tour, all! No one was announced as sick or injured!! I am sorry that you did not read, when you were booking, that if you are outside of Panama City there would be an xtra charge for roundtrip transportation, not the real cost! We did what we promised and more as we always do! Thanks Tony
I enjoyed this tour. Ronald was a very knowledgeable tour guide who was happy to share not only knowledge of the canal, but of Panama generally. Recommended unreservedly.
Great way to learn all about the Panama canal and Panama City. Wear gym shoes, light weight clothing and sunglasses. There are upcharges for the canal so bring cash or card. All worth it!
Unable to go on tour. Got called to leave earlier only to find out that pickup was not an option at Crown Plaza Airport Hotel. Asked to get dab to another place. Made arrangements at hotel I was in for a cheaper price. Mind you, I was further away.
Hi Mr. Timothy! Let me explain how the things really happened please! We called you in order to start earlier and leave the traffic in the city away from us on the way back: totally true!! When the guide called you because he was 5 minutes earlier at the hotel that you typed in your booking, you told him that you were in another location, Crown Plaza, but, not in the city; you where at the airport. When you are booking there is info about pick ups locations and clearly it states that, even that we can do it, we do not offer pick ups at the airport are unless you ask for it and there is an additional fee. We asked you to meet us in the city cause the tour was about to start and there were others waiting for us, you refused to do it! We did not do your booking, you made a mistake at the moment of typing your hotel location cause you did not read properly the address that is clearly shown by the booking system. Sorry that you were not able to attend to our great tour, but, it was not our fault. Thanks Tony
The tour guild is very knowledgeable. He told us the history of Panama Canal. He told us the history of Panama City.
