Jose was the best guide . He speak in Spanish did the tour more easy for us . The Pearl and vanilla tour was excellent
The Pearl Factory was very interesting and learn some thing about pearl that I did not know. Rum Distillery with OK. Rum to strong for me. Vanilla Plantation with small but very nice and interesting. Was able to purchase some vanilla extract that I wanted. Each Staff member at these places were able to answered all question and very knowledgeable. Would recommend this tour to others.
This experience is fun and exciting. You will be visiting each stop by boat. The stops are exciting and very educational.
Would recommend. Our boat looked newer than in the photo description. Great tour even though it rained.
Fantastic diving experience! They were fast at getting your gear set up and making sure you had everything you needed. We did a wreck dive as well as a reef. Both were amazing and we saw small to large from nudibranches to black tipped sharks. The first dive site that we went to didn’t have great visibility and so they continued driving to make sure our dive was going to be perfect.
Our cruise ship changed ports on us and I was not able to reach either Viator or the vendor, so missed this tour completely.
Hi if your cruise ship has changed ports, we are not responsable The last cruise ship was March 23rd when were you supposed to make this visit ? Best regards The mara nui
This was the best excursion of the entire trip! Our pilot was a great host. Only six of us in the group so plenty of room and congenial company. The actual boat ride was great - spectacular scenery. We got rained on, splashed by the wake, and it was bumpy because of our high speed, and I loved every second. Learned a little at each stop. And the opportunity to shop for pearls and vanilla products. I will do it again if I m ever fortunate enough to return.
We opted for a half a day excursion from Raiatea to Taha'a and ended up being the only 2 people on board - I have asked in advance what we want to see and I said: vanilla farm, rhum distillery, coral garden (I have reviewed all 3 individual experiences separately) - and that's exactly what we ended up visiting - nothing more, nothing less :) we left around 8AM from marina on Raiatea, and returned about 12/12:30PM - it was perfect! The fee was 11,500XPF per person, so a bit higher than 9,800 XPF per their website but considering the private tour is listed at 49,500 and we did end up pretty much having one I cannot complain :) cash only The boat was nice, big (putting aside the fact that we were the only people on it other than the captain of course) and clean - I like some art pieces on it. Julian, the owners' son was our captain and also the lead during the coral garden free floating - spoke English and was very friendly and good with the coral garden instructions. I had some concerns during communication period about the tour itself, especially during the final couple days as it was during holidays in FP but it all worked out perfectly, exactly how we wanted so I can only say good things ultimately about it all.
Captain and assistant were good. Group was half English speakers and have French. Captain only spoke in French, but has a passenger who spoke both and she translated for us.
The guides were super nice n the boat ride to the other island was fun. The vanilla place was ok but what really got me was they ripped you off for their products. I don’t mind helping out the locals but don’t rip off the tourists. Paid for a vanilla paste n the next day we r in Papeete n for the same exact product it’s half the price for both the extract n the paste. Would never recommend going there. The pearl place was interesting but only went because it was part of the tour. Would definitely try something else if u go.
