This was great, highly recommended
I did the day tour with Are Tours today, June 17, 2026. I was picked up at 7:40 AM from my guesthouse Fare Vai Nui (also highly recommended, great restaurant) and within 30 minutes we were at the harbor and it was about to start soon. There were 11 of us, our captain Ari was a gem. He entertained us very well. We first visited a vanilla farm on Tahaa, then we went snorkeling in the coral garden. Ari led us because there is only one way through the corals, and there is a slight current, making it easy to get through. The corals are wonderful, and there are many colorful species of fish. Afterward, we went to the pearl farm and then had lunch on a boat. The food was delicious, and the cooking crew deserves high praise. There was a small coconut show, and a crew member climbed a palm tree. The food was accompanied by music (ukulele, drums, and singing). We sat at tables with our feet in the water. In the shallow water, smaller reef sharks also swam, and afterward, we could snorkel here as well. Overall, we circled all of Tahaa; it was a wild ride over the waves, and we all enjoyed it, including our Ari. Oh yes, we also visited a rum distillery. A big shout-out to everyone. Highly recommended!!!!! At 4:00 PM, we were back at the harbor.
A perfect day with a great tour guide. It was entertaining and fun. We visited a vanilla farm, a pearl farm, and had a genuine Polynesian lunch. Absolutely recommended.
This tour was so much fun, and got us right in the middle of the Polynesian culture! Arii was an incredible tour guide! We enjoyed every minute, and went out of our comfort zone while swimming with sharks in the wild! It was a great day!
Fantastic day in Raiatea with the perfect mix of views of the vanilla plantation and the pearl farm. Snorkeling in the beautiful coral garden, followed by lunch on the motu...everything was fantastic
We snorkeled saw black tipped sharks and were given a concert by our tour guides. The local lunch was fabulous! The guide helped my husband who was terrified of the water and he was remarkable ♥️ They even went out of their way to speak their local language and show their instruments in a video I can bring home to my 1&2 graders. They are proud of their culture and happy to share it. Thank you so much
Fabulous excursion. The crew were amazing and they worked together with their other groups at the beach party. They put on a true polynesian show. Loved their polynesian dress code for the guides. The vanilla stop wasnt like it was 20 years ago so of the two the pearl farm was my personal favorite-did a big of speed shopping ! My husband loved the mahi mahi they cooked over the fire. Great time!
An incredible atmosphere!! Humor with Terehau, historical facts. A rich day, pearl farm, vanilla (cheaper product in stores), rum distillery, private motu. There weren't many of us, which is great!!! I even got to play the ukulele. I really recommend it!!
A must-do, if possible at the beginning of your stay in Polynesia to better understand the roots of the Polynesians We did this tour with Jo, who is an invaluable source on the culture and history of Polynesia. Up the only navigable river with its lush vegetation. Stop at the botanical garden. Visit to the Marae (a sacred Polynesian site) where we were captivated by the wealth of explanations provided by Jo, allowing us to better understand the customs and traditions of Polynesia. Then we stopped on a motu where we enjoyed sitting in the lagoon with baskets of fresh fruit. Exceptional half-day.
Superb outing and discovery with a top-notch team. Special mention to our captain Momo, a delightful and funny person who taught us a lot of things. The meal is excellent, the blacktip sharks are present. The only small disappointment, but unfortunately the experience is not to blame, the water in the coral garden was a bit cloudy and there weren't many fish. But that is the only thing. Everything else from start to finish is exceptional. Thank you to Momo and the whole team for your sharing, your good humor, and the entire experience. Thank you to everyone
