What an amazing place! The waterfalls were absolutely fantastic and, to our surprise, they weren’t slippery at all. We are aged 62 and 63, and we found the climb really easy to manage. We did spot a snake on the way, although we’re not sure if it was poisonous or not! 🐍 The journey there and back was great. On our return, we weren’t quite at the official pickup point, so we asked the driver if he could drop us back at our hotel. As we were only just outside the pickup area, he was more than happy to help. He was an amazing driver and his kindness really made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful trip that we would highly recommend to anyone, whatever their age.
Located about 40 minutes from the old city, this waterfall climb is an "eye-opening" and highly enjoyable experience. Here are the key takeaways for your visit: Logistics & Timing Best Arrival Time: Aim for 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Arriving early helps you avoid the crowds and ensures better photos. Transport: The journey is roughly 40 minutes; English-speaking drivers (like the friendly Ms. Deedy) are available for the trip. The Climb The Experience: You can literally walk up the waterfall. There are multiple routes available, with ropes provided to assist on steeper slopes. Safety Tip: Avoid areas with green algae, as they are very slippery. Essential Gear Footwear: Bring water shoes or sandals you don’t mind getting wet. The underwater sand and rocks are sharp, making it painful to climb barefoot.
This was a really great, private, half-day tour! Peter and Deedi picked us up at our hotel and drove us in a clean, modern, air-conditioned car to the falls. We had a wonderful tour where Peter took lots of pictures of us. After the falls we stopped at an authentic Thai spot for lunch (food was wonderful) before they delivered us back to our hotel. They were both very nice, lovely people and we really enjoyed our afternoon with them.
This is such a unique natural attraction. It’s a great experience since it’s only an hour away from Chiang Mai and you get to see a little part of the city’s natural beauty. Our guide, Purichat, was also amazing and very fun and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend!!
We had a lovely time at the Bua Tong Sticky Waterfalls waterfalls with Piangduan. She is a very friendly person and is very informative. We had lots of little chats while exploring the Bua Tong Temple and cave, the waterfall and sitting in the water at various spots. We would probably not have ventured into some parts without her guidance. We talked about Coffee, Khao Soi and she took us to a local restaurant nearby. It was delicious with the local Thai Coffee buran. Thank you, Pingduan. Highly recommend her.
DeeDee did an amazing job from start to finish. She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable! She spoke English very well too. We had so much fun at the waterfalls and she even helped us with seeing the long neck Karen village. If you get DeeDee, you’re in for a great time !
Fantastic trip to Sticky Waterfalls… worth the 1.20 hours to get there. Friendly guide Kiki and smooth driver Chris. The waterfall climb was exhilarating and relatively easy but loads of fun. We were also provided a nice vegetarian lunch - would recommend!
The ride there is long. We had an 1.5 to explore once we got there. We climbed the waterfall in 30 minutes. So we got some snacks and at for the next hour. It was beautiful but the drive was so long not sure it was worth it.

The guide was excellent, she took pictures of us all along the climb. She is very nice and speaks English well. The waterfalls are a lot of fun and the SUV was very comfortable.
This tour was great! Pickup from the hotel was coordinated well through WhatsApp and the drive to the waterfall was in a nice and clean car. The guy who brought us on the tour spoke very good English and helped navigate us down to the bottom of the waterfall. Good tour and would recommend!
