Conduisez sur la Seward Highway le long du pittoresque Turnagain Arm jusqu'à Whittier. La croisière Glacier Quest vous emmène de la pittoresque ville balnéaire de Whittier à la baie de Blackstone remplie de glaciers, un spectaculaire fjord en eau profonde où deux glaciers de marée et plusieurs glaciers alpins vous attendent. Gardez un œil sur les loutres de mer, les otaries de Steller, les ours, les chèvres de montagne, les baleines et plus encore ! Vous verrez plusieurs glaciers, dont le glacier Tebenkof, du nom de Mikhail Demitrievich Tebenkof, un arpenteur exceptionnel dont les cartes ont été les premières cartes des eaux de l'Alaska publiées en 1852. Le glacier Northland repose majestueusement, accroché au bord de la montagne imposante. Blackstone et Beloit sont des glaciers de marée qui ont creusé un chemin escarpé pour atteindre l'eau salée de Prince William Sound. Naviguez près de ces glaciers massifs pour observer les signes révélateurs de mouvement signalés par le « pop » distinct du vêlage de la glace des glaciers.

Ajoutez le temps de trajet d'Anchorage à Whittier à 90 minutes dans chaque sens. De Girdwood à Whittier, comptez 45 minutes. Nous vous recommandons de prendre l'entrée du tunnel à 11h30 au tunnel commémoratif Anton Anderson pour accéder à Whittier à temps pour la croisière Glacier Quest. Le tunnel est ouvert trente minutes après l'heure pour l'accès à Whittier. Après votre croisière, le tunnel s'ouvre toutes les heures pour quitter Whittier jusqu'à 23h00.
La croisière Glacier Quest parcourt 45 miles dans la baie de Blackstone, où sept glaciers et des eaux scintillantes offrent une vue panoramique spectaculaire depuis les sommets des montagnes jusqu'à la mer d'eau salée turquoise en contrebas. Veuillez vous enregistrer une heure avant l'heure de départ de la croisière.

Amazing trip out to see glaciers. Incredible glacier and wildlife views. Wow! It was rainy and foggy when we left Whittier but still had amazing up close views of the glaciers. Highly recommend this excursion. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good.

Fantastic glacier quest cruise. The entire staff is outstanding from booking, to boarding, and the time onboard the vessel. The entire staff is professional and personable. They get you up close and personal with the glaciers, sea life and sea birds. The seafood chowder is amazing!!!! We’d book this again in a heartbeat and plan to be back again in the future. The pilot was excellent at pointing out landmarks along the way and stopped frequently for longer and closer looks at otters, sea lions, etc. Accommodations on the boat were comfortable and roomy, despite the rainy weather which kept visitors indoors for the most part.

This was such as amazing experience. The entire crew were so friendly and helpful. The Salmon Chowder was really good and my friend enjoyed the Veggie Chili. Our tour had us seeing seals, otters, breaching orcas, and a huge chunk of glacier break off. The crew pulled some fresh glacier ice out for us to enjoy in our drinks.
