The wildlife center was very nice but it needs to be longer than an hour. The tour guide asked if anyone had a flight before 3 or 4 and no one had an early flight so not sure why we had to hurry
Thank you for joining us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so glad to hear that you enjoyed the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. We completely understand wanting more time there, and we would love to extend the visit whenever possible. However, our buses often have additional duties and other tour responsibilities scheduled afterward that may not be visible from a guest perspective. While we do our best to offer extra time when logistics allow, we apologize that we were not able to provide your group with a longer visit on this day. Nevertheless, we truly appreciate you choosing to travel with us and hope you enjoyed your Alaska adventure.
Pacific Alaska Tours did a great job on this booking. They were on time at the terminal and kept us on time the whole way. They asked up front about flight arrangements for everyone on the bus to ensure they didn't miss getting us to the airport on time. They provided helpful details of the area on the ride. Nathan and Hally did a great job for us!
Joe was very knowledgeable about the area and we learned a lot about Whittier, Anchorage, local wildlife and the environment. The tour was very organized and we had plenty of time at the Wildlife Center. One note: the tour stated it would begin at 9 but we boarded the bus by 8 when we disembarked. We did not know that this would happen and might have held up the tour had we disembarked later or ran for coffee thinking we would leave at 9.
The wildlife extravaganza was well worth it. Although the weather didn’t cooperate because of rain, we did see all the animals and did not feel rushed. We had a very pleasant bus driver ( Brian , I believe was his name) who was informative,, accommodating and friendly. He talked about the history of Whittier, explained the sights along the drive and dropped passengers off at the airport on time. We left the cruise port on time but the signage for their company could be a little larger because after the disembarkation from the ship, with all the passengers getting off and the luggage in the hall of the cruise port terminal, it was a little difficult to find the tour representative. I recommend this tour as a way to get from the cruise port to the airport because once you arrive in Anchorage, you’re closer to the check-in time of any hotels that you might want to stay in. I also found it was a little less costly than the ship’s transportation from the cruise port to Anchorage airport . We were a party of six people, and everyone had the same opinion that it was a good tour.
I am sooo glad I choose this package! The cruise ship and their own tour and it was much more expensive. The female tour guide was also the driver and her enthusiasm was magnificent! Sorry I don't' remember her name but it was on Wednesday June 3rd form Whittier to Anchorage! Great experience!
Excellent! It was easy to find the kiosk in the NCL Terminal, the workers were all friendly! Our driver, Sam, was super nice, had interesting things to say, and drove well-even on a crazy busy time at the airport with cars and busses going everywhere! I really wish we could have had a bit more time at the conservation center, but it was still cool to see what we saw! The drive to Anchorage was beautiful and we even got to see the bore tide coming in!
Agreat way to get from Whittier to anchorage with an extra treat with the visit to the wilderness experience our driver Sam went out of his way to make the trip interesting and pleasant.
Bring bug spray! The mosquito bites will haunt you on your flight home! They are tons of them!! Joe our guide and driver was EXCELLENT! It was a very pleasant drive and well worth the money!
He was great about pointing out the wildlife along the way. My whole family got off the bus and said how great he was about sharing his personal stories about growing up in AK.
I really like our tour guide Amelia. She is very passionate, knowledgeable and caring. Very informative trip. See a lot of wild animals. Highly recommend.
