Ghorepani Poon Hill & Mardi Himal
We bookedour trek with Outfitter Nepal, we found the website easy to navigate and very informative about each individual trek. We eventually decided on a eight day trek in the Lang Tang Valley, our emails were promptly responded to and our questions were answered. Three weeks before our trek was due to start the Lang Tang area was hit with landslides and flash flooding, with tracking in the region no longer possible Outfitter Nepal organised an alternative trek to Gorepani Poon Hill and Mardi Himal Base camp. On arrival at Kathmandu Airport our guide Indra Thapa welcomed us and transported us to our excellent accommodation at Hotel Barahi. The following day we flew to Pokhara to begin our trek. Over the next couple of days we trekked to Gorepani and witnessed the spectacular sunrise across the mountains at Poon Hill. We then headed towards Mardi Himal. Unfortunately we were unable to reach the base camp due to extreme heavy rain in the Annapurna region, however our guide Indra Thapa organised an excellent Tea House for us to stay in while the rain subsided and from there we travelled by Jeep back to Pokhara. We thoroughly enjoyed our trek in Nepal, our guide Indra Thapa was excellent from start to finish, he was very professional, informative and he was easy to speak to. We were fortunate to have had the services of a guide with his experience and knowledge, we will definitely be returning to Nepal for more trekking and we certainly will be using Outfitter Nepal again.

Great Experience in Nepal
I have contacted Outfitter Nepal before departure to arrange the whole trip.
They took care of everything from A to Z.
Before traveling to Pokhara we had a day tour in Kathmandu - amazing.
We have started the trek to Mardi with Kamal which is an Amazing guide full of experience and heart ❤️.
The trip was for our 25 weeding anniversary and Kamal made it amazing with wine cake and flowers in a very unexpected area.
Unfortunately the weather was not great (lots of rain) so we started returning to Pokhara earlier then planned.
The company adjusted the hotel date and took care of transport to and from airport to Kathmandu.
In Kathmandu Raj invited us to very nice dinner and arranged us another 4 day trekking in a region closer to Kathmandu.
Sundarijal to Namobuddha this time with a different guide Indra Thapa.
In this path we almost did not see any travelers but it was great.
Indra did a great Job.
The company also has its own driver that it is such a pleasure going with (for sure after going with others).
I totally recommend the company and sure to came again.
If you can find a company that controls the weather it is better other then that Outfitter Nepal are number 1 1️⃣

Fantastic and fulfilling 3-day trek to experience the Himalaya/Annapurna conservation area
Our 3 day trek starting from Nayapul was a fantastic experience, climbing through the mountains to reach Poon Hill early on the morning of day 3 before descending back down on foot at first and then by jeep, experiencing the winding mountain tracks to the full. The people and accommodation were all very friendly (despite the chilly January nights), and we enjoyed the traditional meals at the teahouses, which were tasty and plentiful.
The landscape was spectacular and always interesting, through mountain paths, villages and farms. Climbing over 2000m in less than 48 hours was hard work at times, but we were carefully guided at a pace suitable for 60 year olds! We were also fortunate to see monkeys in the wild thanks to the observational skills of out guide Kapil, who looked after us diligently all the way.
An amazing and highly recommended trek for those with limited time and wanting a challenging but not extreme trip.

Breathtaking views and an amazing team!
We have absolutely loved our Poon Hill trek. The views and trail are breathtakingly beautiful but honestly, it is thanks to our guide, Robbie, that it has been such a special experience. Everything has been so well organised and we have felt so well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for Robbie and he makes everything feel easy. We have got to know each other, learned a lot and had fun together! Rahman was our porter and again, he has been wonderful, friendly and super helpful. We really appreciated his support! I would recommend this trek to anyone who is considering it. Don’t be put off when you read about the steps, even they were much easier than we expected but the trek is still challenging enough to feel like an achievement. We will never forget this experience and the beautiful Nepalese nature we’ve been lucky enough to see! Thank you so much Robbie and Rajan!

Solo Traveller on her first ever trek!
I had a wonderful experience as a solo traveller on the Poon Hill Trek. I was lucky enough to have Hom as my guide and he made sure I had a good experience. I can't describe how well looked after I felt. I'd never done anything like this before and Hom made me feel super secure. He was deeply knowledgeable about everything, kind and constantly worked to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I never once felt unsafe and Hom also adapted the trek where needed and so we took some exciting alternative routes through other areas which really added to the experience. If you want to trek with a reliable company and you're a newbie, you won't get much better than Outfitter Nepal (and Hom!).

Best way to trek Nepal, hands down!
I had the best Nepal trek with my guide Ravi! I had been recommended to do the trek with Outfitter Nepal and it did not disappoint. I did the Mohare Dande trip for 5 days as a solo female and felt safe the entire time. Raj, the owner invited me to come to the office in Kathmandu a few days prior and made sure I had everything sorted and answered all my questions. Ravi, the guide and porter Roman met me the evening before at my hotel and gave me a duffel bag and anything else I could need. Ravi has been doing treks for over 20 years and had immense local knowledge, I got to try all of the local vegetables with my daal baht and I had a very immersive experience. An experience I would not have had if I hadn’t had Ravi as my guide. He also was amazing at taking all the photos and knew all the best spots. Could not recommend this trek more, recommend to anyone wanting to experience a local trek in Nepal.

Great experience in rough conditions
The guide kept us very safe in cloudy sometimes rainy weather. And left us with the best opportunity to get some great views around fishtail mountain and the Annapurna region.

Poon Hill and Chitwan experience. Outstanding crew at Outfitters
The team at Outfitters, Nepal were amazing.
We could not fault them on anything.
Amrit, our tour guide and the team of Porters were second to none.
They were all thoughtful, kind, skilful, knowledgeable and generous.
Amrit was always thinking of us and how he could make our experience better. Further to this, he was always several steps ahead with organisation, responding to the group and the day.
The owner and manage of Outfitters was very hands on, was an effective communicator and cared about his clients and their experience.
Thank you the team at Outfitters for an outstanding trekking holiday.

Poon Hill trek excellent experience with fabulous guide and porter
My husband and I just returned from our Poon hill 4 day trek and we had a fabulous experience. Our guide Jitu was terrific- he spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the trek and the region. When my husband experienced some knee issues he was excellent in proving suggestions and solutions to still allow us to continue and enjoy our experience. Our porter Prason was also fantastic, always had a smile and was keen to engage in conversation also. Thanks so much for a great time and the views were incredible also!
