Annapurna - Trek de Poon Hill

First time trekking and we felt secure and taken care of the entire time with the HappyLand Treks team during our 3day Poon Hill/Gorepani trek. Ahead of the trip, owner Bimal was available to discuss the itinerary options as well as accommodated our preferences and last-minute changes due to flight delays. Our trek was ~2wks after the August 2026 flash flood and Bimal provided realistic on-the-ground updates - the Poon Hill/Gorepani route is not near the disaster area and we had no issues. He even met with us in person in Kathmandu to answer final questions the day before the trek. Guide Dil was experienced with the trail as well as the villages, familiar with accommodation owners and even hand-selecting rooms with great views for us. He helped us keep pace with the larger trek picture in mind and made sure we had snacks/hydration at key points along the way. You can feel good about supporting this locally-owned small business, and feel assured that they know what they’re doing with their routes. We would happily choose this company again. Tip - Pokhara has a ton of great gear shops for cheap, give yourself some time to buy stuff there to support the local economy and instead of lugging overpriced stuff across the world!

Trekking in Nepal with Happyland Treks staff, is the best experience ever. We were very well look after and followed on the trip al the time - before, during and after the trek. We made plans and adjusted plans as we got ahead. We got adviced to walk by our own pace, and so we it. I did a multi-day trekking tour in Nepal in November 2025 – alone with my guide, without any other participants – and it was an exceptionally intense and personal experience. My guide was excellent: very experienced, attentive and reliable. He always took care of everything, was professional in every situation and at the same time incredibly warm. I especially appreciated that it fully adapted to my pace and interests – so the trek became a very individual journey, without any hassle. The organization went absolutely smoothly: from the pickup in Kathmandu to the accommodations to the daily planning everything was perfectly arranged. I felt safe and well looked after at all times. Nepal’s landscape is breathtaking – majestic peaks, vast valleys, small villages and the impressive silence of the mountains. Through the personal accompaniment of my guide, I was able to experience the country and people particularly intensively. Conclusion: An unforgettable experience that I can only recommend to anyone – especially solo adventurers. Perfectly organized, with a great guide and countless moments that will be remembered forever.

A fantastic trip made from Khatmandu/ Pokhara!! Very good guidance and seen a lot along the way. Good overnight stays and fantastic food was always arranged. Real hats off to the organization. I'd do it right back.

The entire trip was superbly organized! From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu , then to Pokhara to start the trek- Bimal was amazing in his attention to details. The trip was well paced, accommodations were comfortable and meals were plentiful. We had a wonderful guide, Manish who was so skilled in explaining the history and local land features. He made the experience so memorable and his easy going nature was greatly appreciated.

We did a 5 day trek with my friends and I couldn't recommend it more. The views were amazing throughout the whole trek but especially at the poon hill peak. The guides were friendly and accommodating. Accommodation was generally okay with hot showers at all but one location

Amazing views and people. Nature and mountains impress with their beauty and grandeur. I'll definitely be back!
