First of all...it was very fun and educational. But the tasting was very little (almost nothing). Deep-fried piece of broccoli, 2 (!) fries, piece of brownie, 5cc gin, candy and half a glass of golden dragon. That makes it very expensive.
Groetjes
The woman who gave the tour was fine. My issue was the number of people on the tour; there was 16 people…. Way too many people. This was supposed to be a small group tour 16 is not small
Hi Pete, thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry the group size felt too large for you. Our tour is advertised as a small-group experience with an absolute maximum of 16 participants, and on your tour we were within that limit. That said, I understand that “small group” can feel different from person to person, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. We’ll certainly keep your comments in mind as we continue improving the tour experience. Kind regards from Ghent
We had a great experience tasting some of Ghent’s best flavors! Our guide Mandy was wonderful and provided some interesting background info. Highly recommended!!
Thank you the great review of our Tasting Tour in Ghent!
This was a last minute selection, I was looking for something to do on a day trip to Ghent. Matias (sp) was our guide. He was prompt and engaging. He tried to include everyone in the group in conversation. I knew alcohol samples were included, but I cannot drink alcohol, so Matias hooked me up with a coffee at the last stop. All of the locations he took us had excellent samples and I would have liked some time at a couple stops to make a purchase (such as the chocolate). Since I was only on a day trip and had to catch the train back, circling back around was not an option.
Love your review! Thank you :-)
Our guide Matthius was very knowledgeable & friendly. Not stingy with the tastings! Lots of info about not only the food & drink but the architecture & history of Ghent. Would 100% recommend.
Thank you for the great review! Much appreciated!
This city is special. Many restaurants, bars and a great variety of delicious beer.
Yes it is.
Debby was very cordial and a great guide. Many personal experiences with a truly great tour. We visited many places after the tour to explore more. A great tour to get the 'lay of the land'.
Thank you for the great review!
Great value. Learned about the city from a local while tasting and drinking many local items. Found a few gems I would not have experienced otherwise. Debbie was amazing!!
Hey Tiina, thanks a lot for the great review! Kind regards from Ghent
Enjoyed the tour of Ghent, which was told in an interesting way by Tom (in the hat). With his enthusiasm he took us all the way inside the stories about Ghent’s past. The tasters were also delicious!
