Furnas et sources chaudes d'une demi-journée
Description
Cette visite vous permet de voir l'un des points forts de l'île de São Miguel - le village de Furnas, connu pour son activité volcanique et ses sources chaudes ! Au cours de cette visite, nous nous arrêterons au point de vue de Santa Iria, où vous aurez une vue imprenable sur l'océan et les falaises/montagnes de la partie nord de l'île. Ensuite, nous nous arrêterons dans les plantations de thé locales qui produisent encore du thé à ce jour - les seules usines en Europe encore en activité. En route vers Furnas, nous nous arrêterons à Pico do Ferro, une vue incroyable sur la lagune de Furnas, puis nous nous arrêterons à "Caldeiras das Furnas", où vous pourrez voir l'activité volcanique à son apogée. Vous aurez également la possibilité de vous baigner et de vous détendre dans les sources thermales locales avant de retourner à l'hôtel.

C'est ici que vous pouvez voir le "cozido" (ragoût portugais) cuit sur le sol par l'activité volcanique.
Point de vue sur l'ensemble du cratère du lagon de Furnas.
Une des seules plantations de thé en Europe qui produit encore du thé. Vous aurez l'occasion de le goûter!

This was such a wonderful group tour! Sam was promptly on time, friendly, EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the island, took us to great viewpoints that locals know about, helped us pivot to great stops when it got foggy, and was flexible with changes along the way. He was so kind, and professional. I couldn’t recommend this tour more!! Must-do for your Azores trip.

I can on a cruise ship to the Azores, and this was THE BEST excursion I have ever been on. I booked it through Viator and was worried about that, but our guide was very contentious to our needing to be back.on time, so don't let that deter you from booking! Our guide was.so knowledgeable, kind, and personable! I cannot recommend his tour enough!

This tour was incredible!!! Samuel was so accommodating - we didn't have a ton of time in port (we were on a transatlantic cruise), so he was waiting for us when we walked off the ship. He was so communicative with us ahead of time (even over the weekend as we visited on a Sunday). As we didn't want to get in the hot springs, we got more time at the tea plantation, stopped at some amazing viewpoints, and walked around the town of Furnas. We loved not being on a group tour - we got as much time to shop or explore as we wanted instead of being on someone else's timeline. We stopped in Furnas for some liqueur tasting - one of the few souvenirs we brought home! Our 5.5-year-old son was so intrigued by the island, the cows, the hot springs, the volcano, and Samuel was so patient with him & answered his endless questions. Our son loved trying the água azeda in Furnas! Samuel was so patient & understanding with my dad's mobility too (he has had 4 major back surgeries) - he would drop us off and he walked at Dad's pace. We loved learning more about the Azores Islands, as it was our first time visiting. We can't wait to come back and stay for a longer period - our first call will be to Samuel to set up some longer tours and hikes!!! We saw some amazing cities on our cruise, but we all agreed that Ponta Delgada was our favorite port. We attribute that to this incredible tour with Samuel!!!
This tour was excellent!!! Sam is a very easy going, intelligent guide. He interacted wonderfully with our 5.5 year old and kept us all entertained. He was able to accommodate an earlier pickup due to our limited time in port. We loved having a private tour and hire Sam when we come back!!!

A great morning excursion. Our driver and guide, Samual, was really good. He was fun, friendly, entertaining and knew answers to everything we asked. A very professional guide indeed. The sights we saw were truly memorable and the trip to the fumeroles in Furnas was fantastic and so interesting. I would highly recommend this outing and anything else done by our guide.

We were visiting Sao Miguel on an anniversary trip and went on the half day Furnas tour with Samuel without having any real idea what we were going to see. It was even better than we could have imagined. We stopped a few times on the way to Furnas and leaned about the island, some History, etc. The highlight was the hot springs and botanical garden, which we will definitely return to someday, and seeing the Calderas area. Highly recommend for an enjoyable tour!!! Would absolutely use Green Corner Tours again!

It was a fantastic morning with our tour guide, Samuel. He was so efficient, yet laid back, as he planned our tour to Furnas, the tea plantation, and hot springs. We learned a lot about the island from him - who better than from a native of the Azores, right? He was attentive to our needs the whole time, finding the best picture spots, checking if we need a restroom or water, and more. He offered to snap our family photos, using different photo and video modes and features. He was so good at taking panoramic photos that we called them the “Sam Special”. We enjoyed this tour so much that we booked another tour with him a couple of days later called The Moinho do Felix hike. As we hiked through nature, we saw 3 beautiful waterfalls, the north coast, green valleys, and an old water mill. Another MUST see tour with Samuel. We made lots of memories here in Sao Miguel - thanks for that and for the laughs as we shared our corny jokes, Sam!
