It was a great experience, and we can recommend this! Just come prepared with snacks as the day was long and cramped, so there was not a lot of room for dinner unfortunately. The trip itself became the priority more than the experience itself.
We were group of 54 people embarked on a Dolomites tour organised by Anna Tirol from Tyrol Travel. Booking with Anna from abroad was incredibly easy. She promptly responds to enquiries and creates itineraries tailored to your preferences. Our group wanted to visit St Magdalene and Lake Braies so Anna organised a bus for us. She even accommodated our spontaneous request for a tour to Achensee Lake. I had asked for Achensee tour less than 24 hours (very short notice) and Anna managed to organise it so quickly. This was my second time using Anna’s service and it was flawless every step of the way. Tyrol Travel is highly recommended.
Good Evening Anna, please tell Marin our sincerest Thank You for his tour with us today. That was the BEST & Most Informative tour I / we have ever had on a vacation and was Truly the TOP HIGHLIGHT for me personally on our entire trip to Europe!! You and Marin do a FANTASTIC job with your planning, knowledge & care…it made me feel so at home and I feel like I actually learned something about Tirol, Austria & Northern Italy. Much Appreciated and Thank You Both again!! If we are Blessed enough to be able to come back here again…we would love to do another tour with you & Marin. Sincerely, Kevin J.
Anna was really sweet and good at explaining fun facts and historical things that we didn't know about along the way on the trip. There was a good mood and we were a small team going, which is why everyone’s needs were met. It was therefore very effective, as in a short time we saw a lot of beautiful lakes, mountains and landscapes that we have never seen before. It was a mega good experience that we will never forget. If you want a well-organized tour with a guide present, then do it through Anna. She also offers other tours that we will have in mind if we are to visit Austria again.
Anna did an amazing job on our Dolomites tour. She explained the importance of each location with great historical context and local knowledge, which made the experience much more meaningful. She was also very helpful in sharing information about nearby cities and places to explore. She thoughtfully suggested two break stops during the trip, and both were excellent. The restaurant she recommended for lunch had some great vegetarian options, which we really appreciated. One of the highlights of the day was how well she managed everyone’s comfort — making sure the car stayed cool despite the 30+°C summer heat and keeping water bottles available so everyone stayed hydrated. She was punctual, organized, and genuinely great to talk with throughout the journey. Highly recommend Anna for anyone planning a Dolomites day trip from Innsbruck.
We had a great day seeing some exquisitely beautiful spots with Matin. The Dolomites did not disappoint and Matin’s storytelling and knowledge of local traditions and history were entertaining and a great way to get a better feel of the landscape we were enjoying. He also knew the “great kitchen” to visit when it was time for a food break. Tyrol region now has my heart, and when I return I will book with Anna and Matin again.
Thank you Anna😘, it was a pleasant experience and a nice way to spend the day under Tyrol travel. Everything was perfectly organized, from pick-up to drop-off, and the small group size made it feel more personal and relaxed. She shared local legends and personal stories that made every stop come alive. 🤗❤️ Overall the tour was comfortable, and there was enough time to take photos and enjoy the scenery. Highly recommended!
Dear Anna and Marin We had a great day blessed with the weather. Everything was well organized.Marin was very kind and patient , he prioritized us. We learned a lot from him. Thank you and Marin for making our dream come true!
Beautiful mountains and lakes. The best part there is time to explore the area. Miran was a good guide and answered all our questions.
We were picked up at about 9:30 a 3 minute walk from our hotel. Considering that this was a 10+ hour activity that seemed quite a late start. Marin, one of the principals of the Company was our driver/guide. The 8 passenger van was full. 7 passengers and Marin. There was inadequate room, even considering that 3 were children. My wife was uncomfortable all day. Along the route Marin was quite informative about history. He outlined the day and asked us if we had any preferences. We did not know enough about the itinerary to really have any. We stopped at noon for a coffee and snack break, No one was hungry so we decided to have lunch later. “Later” ended up being 3:30. Affect the break we drove to 3 lakes that to be honest all looked alike in retrospect. On the way to Braies, the high point of the day, it rained very heavily, so we had lunch first. After lunch it cleared up and we visited Braies. It is quite scenic. It was now after 5 and we started home, arriving back at 7:30 pm. After showering and departing the hotel, most restaurants were closed. The lakes were nice, and the ride pretty scenic. I’m not sure of time to fun ratio. We were gone about 10 hours. At least 6 of them were driving and another 1,5 lunch and break. That left 2 ish hours actually at “sights.” Lunch at 3:30 after breakfast at 8 was poor. Marin was a good guide and nice guy. At $400 cost and considering the time in the uncomfortable van, each person has to decide on personal value.
Dear John Bowen , certified public accountant, Broker, Bowen & Company. Thank you very much for being our guest and for your feedback. First, we need to inform you that the tour was conducted according to the itinerary, and all the designated places were visited. It is clearly described in the tour description how long the drive will be in the car. Please, find out beforehand where your trip is going according to descriptions- the Dolomites are not in Innsbruck. You can use Google Maps for this. About pick-up: In small group tours, pick up is done from 2 meeting points between 09:00 and 09:30. We cannot pick up each participant from the hotel, because it will take 1-2 hours. That is the standard approach for group tours in Europe. About car comfort: All our vehicles are MERCEDES VANs – all certified for passenger transport and undergo annual inspections to ensure they meet technical and licensing requirements. You were driven in the Mercedes Vito Tourer "Extra Long"– for maximum legroom. It is a standard VAN-car in Europe, which is used by most of the small group tour operators in Europe. If you think you might be short on space and already know it, we also offer the option (as with most US airlines) to book the adjacent seat, giving you 2 seats for 1 person (or 3 seats for 2 – whole row). You haven’t selected this option. For anyone reading this – please let us know by text message if you would like to book an additional seat! Starting from this date, we will ask to provide the weight and height of each guest on this tour. If you have any concerns regarding the comfort of the cars, please contact Mercedes-Benz AG, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany. About prices: the cost per person you paid is €200, which is the average standard rate for a small-group tour in a Mercedes van through the Dolomites. You are welcome to compare this with other available options beforehand. Every legal tour operator (or any accountant) working according to Austrian or European law understands how costs are built up. Tour costs include all government taxes, fees, insurances, tourists' emergency insurance, commissions to 3rd parties, road tolls and fees, parking fees, salaries and social security payments, and all other costs of the company, which every legal company in Europe is obligated to pay. The Dolomites are very difficult to reach from major cities by public transportation, and the time, effort, and expenses involved are significantly higher compared to the cost of a single seat in a small group tour. About food: This is a DOLOMITES TOUR, NOT a FOOD TOUR. You are traveling to the mountains, where there is no McDonald’s or Burger King every few minutes. Furthermore, the Dolomites are in Italy, where from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm it is SIESTA time, and restaurants are closed. Please respect the culture and customs of the country you are visiting. For this reason, we have several planned food/snack stops for the group. However, you refused to eat at these stops, saying it was too early and that you had a good breakfast. Later, when you finally became hungry, the guide was able to organize lunch for you in SIESTA time, which is almost impossible in Italy. You need to be thankful for this. Afterward, you were provided extra time on Lake Braies (instead of 45 minutes, you had 1,5 hours, which is private time of the guide). All other tourists in the group have appreciated that! You were back in Innsbruck at 7:30 p.m. - most restaurants are open until 10:00 p.m. (some until 11:00 p.m.). If that took you 2.5 hours to shower, that is very sad to hear about the traffic jam in your bathroom. About the tour: This tour is not a food tour, but a tour to enjoy nature, mountains, alpine lakes, and the Dolomites (Sites of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE). Please set your expectations correctly - we offer (as much as possible) to admire nature and spend the day as beautifully as possible. If you are not interested in experiencing the natural wonders of the Dolomites and do not understand what this tour is about, we kindly ask that you do not book it, so as not to steal a seat from someone who has dreamed all their life of visiting the Dolomites. Wish you to plan your trips in the future with a more accurate approach, researching what you really want to see and do, choosing an experience that suits you, and not just booking something because everyone else is booking it. Best wishes from Austria, Anna
