Absolutely spectacular!
Privtice Lakes National Park is a true Croatian treasure! We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this beautiful and amazing park. Our guide, Sanja, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable and personable, never rushing us. She provided a wealth of information beyond the park, too. A not-to-missed experience when visiting Croatia.

Disappointing experience — major timing issues caused us to miss the best parts of Plitvice Lakes
We had planned our Croatia trip for almost a year, and visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park was one of the highlights we were most looking forward to. Unfortunately, this tour turned into a very disappointing experience. We arrived at the meeting point about 30 minutes early, as instructed. After entering the park, we took a brief restroom break. We then continued with the group, but there was a significant amount of waiting, including waiting for the guide while she went to Customer Services, followed by a lengthy wait for the park transportation. The tour operator later described the train ride as approximately 13 minutes, but that does not reflect our actual experience. From our initial restroom break through the transportation and subsequent meeting-point sequence, approximately an hour passed. The most important issue was what happened at P2. We arrived at P2 approximately one hour before the guide did, based on the timing that had been communicated to us. We were not simply wandering away from the tour. We were trying to follow the itinerary and were already at the designated location while waiting for the guide. Because of this timing problem, we missed significant portions of the planned route, including some of the beautiful waterfalls and scenic areas that were the main reason we booked this tour.

However, we feel it is important to clarify what actually happened, as the way this review describes the situation unfairly reflects on our guide and suggests that the missed parts of the route were caused by her timing or lack of attention. You booked a guided group tour. On a guided group tour, guests are expected to remain with and follow the guide throughout the itinerary. At the entrance, our guide explains the route, points out the location of the restrooms, and gives guests all the necessary information about the tour. In addition, on this particular tour, our guide created a WhatsApp group for the guests. The itinerary and important information were shared there again, and the guide remained available throughout the day so that guests could contact her during breaks or if they needed assistance or became separated from the group. We take the safety and wellbeing of our guests very seriously and always keep an eye on our group. The important point here is that you chose to separate from the group after the train ride without informing the guide at any point. When you later came to our agency, you specifically explained that you had separated from the group after the train ride. This was not a situation where the guide left you behind or where the group continued without you. The timing of the guide was therefore not the cause of the problem. The situation resulted from your decision to leave the group without informing the guide, and unfortunately this subsequently meant that you missed part of the planned route. As was also explained to you in person, we cannot consider this to be an error or negligence on the part of the agency or our guide. On a group tour, the entire group moves together according to a planned route and schedule. If a guest decides to move separately from the group, the guide cannot know where that guest is or whether they have intentionally chosen to take a different route unless the guest communicates this. It is also worth mentioning that our guide had a guest with a disability on the same tour that day, who was following an alternative, shorter route. Our guide successfully coordinated this situation while continuing to manage the rest of the group and the planned itinerary. Our guide puts genuine care, effort and love into every tour and every guest. She would never knowingly or carelessly leave someone behind. Her priority is always to make sure that the group is together, informed and safe. We are genuinely sorry that you missed parts of the park and some of the waterfalls you were looking forward to seeing. We understand that this was disappointing, especially after planning your trip for such a long time. However, we also believe it is important to distinguish between an unfortunate outcome and an error made by the tour operator. For future travels, if you prefer to move at your own pace, spend more time at particular locations, or have a more flexible itinerary, a private tour may be a better option. A private tour allows the itinerary and pace to be adjusted specifically to your preferences, whereas a group tour necessarily follows a shared schedule and route for all participants. We sincerely regret that your experience ended with disappointment, but we stand by our guide and the way the tour was conducted. Kind regards, Booker team

Great day trip from Split!
Great day trip from Split! Beautiful scenery and a well-organized trip. If I had to choose between this and Krka, I would go with Krka, but doing both was better.

Never Use this again Do not book with BOOKER TRAVEL Agency
Good people please never book with this bunch again. We left our hotel one hour early to start the trip. They make you meet at the agency which the GPS map want work on your phone inside the city walls so its impossible to find. So only needing 15 mins from hotel to supposedly find the place, the maps on phone want work, no one in the city appears to know the street or where the agency is. We asked 10 people. So, for the first time in our 82 countries visited we were 7 minutes late for the tour and they left us. They knew we were coming because we had told them the day prior. They called the wrong number supposedly to check on us and didn't email. The rude ladies at the desk could have cared less. They made no attempt to resolve and refused a refund which is wrong. I plan to contact Mark Goldberg the CEO I believe of Tripadvisor. I happen to have worked with Mark on an issue before. They made no attempt to help us reach the bus. We said we would pay the taxi to catch up. They said not possible. This was the birthday of my wife and was the apex of our 5-country tour and was the last stop. We wanted this so badly. They gave us the number of the guide whom after 6 calls never answered the phone and they made no attempt to reach him. Antonio is his name so avoid him like the plague. This at the end of the day cost me about $900 dollars I had to pay for a private driver to take us there. Such a sad and HORRID experience. The two at the desk should be terminated for apathy. A refund should easily have been made. They said something about the next day we could tour but we were flying home. I cant say enough bad things about this group and they said I was rude. AHHHH really. An embarrassment they are to the agency world. I plan to reach out to Mark about this. It doesn't get much worse than this.

Day trip from Split to Plitvice Lakes
We enjoyed this day trip to Plitvice Lakes with our excellent driver Marco and our organised, well informed and fun guide Sanja. There was excellent communication beforehand with advice regarding food and what to expect as well. We have even received restaurant and other recommendations for sights and activities whilst in Split from Sanja which is a thoughtful addition to a great day.

A must do: Plitvice lakes and waterfalls
Today was the perfect late summer day to fully enjoy the turquoise lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice! Sanja was an excellent guide: warm, friendly, engaging, giving just the right amount of information and making the bus ride go quickly! I highly recommend this trip!

First time at park
Sonja was a very thorough guide and I enjoyed how well she explained all of the directions and details of the tour just in case some people got left behind or maybe get lost. The park was astounding, very peaceful.

Plitvice lakes tour with Larry
We went with Larry. He was very informative and spoke well. Kept us engaged. The tour require a 12 hour commitment with travel time of 8 hours and appro4 hrs of walking in the park.
