We toured the Uffizi Gallery with our three kids (18, 13, and 10), and our guide, Martina, made it genuinely fun for all of them — not an easy age spread to please. She turned parts of the visit into a friendly family competition, which had our kids more engaged with the art than we've ever seen at a museum. They were debating, pointing things out to each other, actually looking closely at the paintings instead of racing through. Knowledgeable, warm, and great with kids of very different ages.
Our tour guide Giulia was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable and made the tour a scavenger hunt which was fun for grown ups and kids! We all came away having learned something.
Would not see the Uffizi with children any other way! This was my husband and my third trip to the Uffizi, but our first with kids (ages 13, 12 and 9). Martina gave us all just the right amount of context and intrigue to help keep all three of our kids (and grown-ups!) engaged throughout the entire visit. She showed us secrets hiding in the paintings and had us playing competitive spot-it games. In the words of my nine-year-old “mom you have to give Martina a really good review because that could’ve been a really boring two hours but it was super fun!” Aside from our kids loving it, I think this was also my favorite trip to gallery. Thank you, Martina!
Excellent guide who helped us get much more out of it - and the best part was that she kept our 10-yr old daughter fully engaged the whole time.
We had an amazing time! Martina was fantastic! We have taken many private guided tours and our visit to the Museums in Florence with Martina was hands down the best experience we have had with a guide! Highly recommended!!
Awesome experience! We have 3 kids (ages 8 and 13) and they all learned a ton. Martina did a great job keeping their interest with games, stories and pictures to keep them engaged and learning. A great way to help the kids learn about the history of Florence and the amazing art in the Uffizi.
Roberta was superb. Top notch experience that my kids and entire family loved. I can’t recommend enough
Beautiful works. Breathtaking. Don't forget to book your ticket in advance so you don't queue. Feel free to take the audio guide. It is also in French. the explanations are short and target the main works.
We did a morning Uffizi tour with Martina with 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 6-12). Martina was the best guide we have ever had, for both kids and adults alike. She has a deep knowledge of the museum content, often pointing out certain things that we could tell no other guide did. But at the same time she was great at keeping the kids engaged with the treasure hunt/ trivia game, and also how to best navigate the museum, knowing exactly when and where to take a break or keep moving. As an example, for many of the paintings, she had the kids come up close and then sit on the floor, while she described what was so special about that piece. All of the adults learned a lot, and I was surprised that the kids were genuinely captivated and had energy for the entire tour. I can’t speak for the other guides, but would not hesitate to recommend Martina.
Excellent tour! Martina did an amazing job engaging our kids from the beginning of the tour. We have 8 and 11 year olds and I have never seen them more engaged. She made it super fun with games and questions to teach them the history of the pieces she selected. Overall a great experience not just for the kids but for my wife and I.
