Gabby was very knowledgeable and flexible for our kids needs. She helped us especially by getting a currier to take our bikes back.
Ivan was great leader with knowledge of the city and never rushed us. We felt particularly safe with Timon who either rode in back or zipped up to the front to hold traffic every time we entered a cross section. Bikes were well maintained and very comfortable.
This bike ride was so well-coordinated. There were multiple people accompanying the group to ensure everyone is safe and taken care of. If you don't speak any Spanish, you'll still be fine :-)
We had a excellent bike tour with Ivan. He customized the tour to what we expressed interest in. He showed us the Totem Pole in the park from Canada to celebrate their 150th year celebration of independence. He was very patient with us as we explored driving down the boulevard amongst all the other bikes, no cars were allowed on the boulevard on Sunday. He was very thorough in explaining the buildings that were around us, the monuments and statues. He spoke English very well. We highly recommended him as your personal tour guide. If you can get into a tour with him, I would take it.
Very fun way to see the sights of Chapultepec and get oriented to the park and many city monuments. Our guides were friendly and informative.
My family of three did the bike tour with Alberto (?). He was the English speaking guide for the Chapultepec Tour, which included riding through the city. The bike ride was an excellent experience and my 6 year old loved being on the tandem bike with her dad. The tour itself wasn't as great as expected. The guide did not have much depth when he pointed out monuments and tried to explain certain areas. He probed for questions, but really wasn't able to answer them well. He forgot to point out the location of the Castle in the park. We stopped for food at one of the vendors nearby the Anthropology Museum. The food was cold (chicken) which, tourists should not be having. We didn't get to fully enjoy the food. There was another guide included in this tour, whom only spoke Spanish, which was fine. He was very useful for helping to block traffic as we passed on busy streets and he helped keep everyone safe.
Our family had a great time on this bike tour down Reforma Avenue and through Chapultepec Park. It was a good way to see some sites that are not easily visited on foot, and the biking itself is fun and adds an enjoyable element to the sightseeing. Our guides were very kind and took good care of us, accommodating dietary restrictions for the included lunch and the needs of a young child who was also on our trip (riding a tandem bike with her dad). They showed us sites we would not otherwise have found on our own, including a lovely hidden meditation space and a stroll through the Los Pinos complex in Chapultepec Park. They even arranged the trip so that we were able to see a Danza de los Voladores performance while enjoying our lunch, which was really cool. The historical detail/explanations provided were fairly bare bones, for the most part, and we skipped past a few of the landmarks we passed in Chapultepec, but on the whole it was a very fun and satisfying tour!
The bike tour was probably the highlight of our Mexico City visit. Not only were the guides (Ivan and Manuel) incredibly nice, but they did everything they could (and more!) to make the tour memorable as well as enjoyable. We traveled with 4 kids (ages 5 to 14) and all of them had an amazing time. To top it all off, the places we visited and the explanation of them were remarkable. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience! Highly recommended!!
Biking around CDMX is a great way to see the city. It is very easy and the bike lanes are well laid out. Our guide - Pablo was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. His #2 guy (Can't remember his name) was also a real character. A human sound effects generator. (sirens and whoop-whoops). We saw a lot and including some off the beaten-track spots. I highly recommend this tour.
My family of 4’s 1st activity post arrival to CDMX was “The Emperor Route, Chapultepec & Paseo de la Reforma Historical bike tour.” Our guides Ivan and Timon were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. It was an excellent way to start to understand this fascinating city and culture We appreciated getting some fun, fresh air, and easy exercise. We felt extremely taken care of and safe throughout. 5 stars!
