Expédition Adventure Kart - Ketchikan, AK

Description

This tour was 10X better than expected! The experience was definitely worth the cost of admission! We spent about 1.5 hours traversing through the beautiful National Forest in our group of about 24. We lucked out with clear sunny weather to enjoy the views. Our guides were Liam and Sadott and they were very polite and professional. Sadott was exceptionally knowledgeable about local nature facts! 10/10 would recommend!
Everything was great! We enjoyed our tour!
The tour guide sadott was great and fun. Did a good job
Heck yeah! This excursion was exhilarating and informative all at the same time. The rugged terrain, breathtaking views, and scenic stops to explore and learn about the incredible nature surrounding Ketchikan made this an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend Kawanti Kart Adventures for anyone who’s young—or simply young at heart. A huge thank you to Sadott and Sophia for being such fantastic guides. They made the experience even more memorable!

A textbook example of corporate greed. Viator is just a middleman that does nothing but take your money. They didn't provide us with any contact information for the company that was actually conducting the tour so we had to walk around on the pier asking everyone what their tour was. Once we linked up, it was clear that this day was going to be all about their logistics. The teenagers that were running the operation had their hands full herding as many customers as possible from multiple ports to their Kawanti base and then loading twenty ATVs into a long convoy. We were just one 20 vehicle convoy of several that they had going up and back on a dirt road with one stop that didn't overlook anything. We did actually stop several times while we pulled over to let other convoys pass us on the dirt road. One of the girls was yelling at drivers because they weren't staying right on the tail of the vehicle in front of them so that they could manage the convoys. The fun of ATV riding was sucked out of the trip and the hope of seeing more of the Alaskan forest was lost in the dust of the ATV five feet in front of us the whole ride.
We had an awesome time! Pick up at the cruise port ship was very easy and staff was friendly. The drive to camp was about 25 minutes. The driver gave a bit of a tour guide giving info about the town as we drove along. He also was willing to drop us back to any point on the return trip. We got dropped off at Creek Street. As for the adventure itself...we sat for a short safety video. Got fitted for helmets and goggles. Then were introduced to our vehicles. They were Polaris models and in tip top shape including GPS and blue tooth so we could connect our phones for music which made it more fun. The suspension on these things were amazing. The course was fun and challenging but we were guided every step of the way. Sofia was AWESOME! Such a sweet knowledgeable and energetic guide. She took us on a little nature walk and explained about the local trees, plants etc. Then off to the highest peak of the tour. Views were great. Our weather was a bit rainy/misty bit that made the adventure even better. A little mud kick up! We had so much fun! Would recommend 1000%
