Chengdu est une ville bien connue du sud de la Chine pour les pandas géants. La base de pandas de Dujiangyan est une autre base de pandas moins populaire située à environ 60 km de Chengdu. Le système d'irrigation de Dujiangyan est un patrimoine culturel de l'UNESCO qui fonctionne encore de nos jours pour irriguer l'immense région de la province du Sichuan. Cette excursion privée d'une journée vous permettra de partir de votre hôtel situé au centre de Chengdu jusqu'à la ville de Dujiangyan par une belle voiture cartographiée, où vous pourrez voir les adorables pandas géants se nourrir le matin. Ensuite, vous explorerez le fantastique système d'irrigation de Dujiangyan avec votre guide local pour apprendre son histoire et sa théorie de fonctionnement. De plus, le déjeuner chinois est inclus. L'heure de prise en charge est à 8h00 depuis votre hôtel situé au centre de Chengdu.

À 8h00, vous serez pris en charge dans le hall de votre hôtel situé au centre de Chengdu, puis vous prendrez environ une heure de voiture pour vous rendre à la base Dujiangyan Panda, qui est une base moins populaire sans trop de visiteurs. Il est préférable de voir les pandas actifs le matin pendant l'heure du repas.
Après le déjeuner, vous vous dirigerez vers le célèbre barrage, Dujiangyan Irrigation System, un projet massif construit à l'origine vers 256 av. J.-C. par l'État de Qin. Situé sur l'affluent de la rivière Min du Yangtze, le système a été conçu pour conserver l'eau et contrôler les inondations, et irrigue encore aujourd'hui 2 046 milles carrés (5 300 km2) de terres. Votre guide vous expliquera comment l'immense entreprise a transformé le bassin du Sichuan en une région d'abondance tout en éliminant les inondations des zones voisines.

This was a very nice private several hours tour. Bella, our guide did an excellent job. She was very professional and friendly. We went first to the Dujiangyan Panda base which was very nice and not at all crowded. Bella knew quite well were to go, at what time and the best locations to watch the Pandas. After that, she took us to the Water irrigation system. I was a little skeptical to go and see a dam of it turn to be a super interesting experience about a wonderful piece of Engineering but also with the visit of a temple and group of buildings that was awesome. Some of the best pictures from the China trip. At all times, Bella did a great job and was always willing to help. Furthermore, we made the comment about needing to buy a new bag/luggage and in our way back to the hotel we stopped in a market to buy it! That is customer service! The driver was also very polite and professional and the car was very nice and comfortable. Great day watching Pandas and other interesting places, great pictures and very nice and friendly company with Bella! Highly recommended tour!

Had a great and enjoyable day visiting both the Chengdu Panda Base as well as Dujiangyan Water works, our guide Daisy gave us very good introduction of the history and the construction of the water works. We also had a nice lunch of “Cai Huo Ji”.
