Claire was THE guide for the day! She knew so much about champagne, wine, and the Reims region as a whole. Extremely knowledgeable but also warm and easy to be around. We honestly had the best day. She brought us to a smaller champagne house that ended up being our favorite of the trip and we’re already talking about ordering more bottles once we’re home. We also loved visiting the historic cellars, which were fascinating to explore. Between the tastings, the lunch, and seeing more of the region along the way, the whole experience felt really special.
We had a lovely time discovering and tasting French wines with Laurent. He was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job presenting the different wine regions of France. I especially valued how patiently he responded to our countless questions. Strongly recommend!
Girls trip vibes all the way. The four of us spent an incredible day with Julien exploring the Champagne region. He was extremely knowledgeable about France, Paris, wine, champagne, and everything local. The day felt perfectly paced, truly well spent, and we all loved every moment — especially the champagne!
Wonderful history tour and descriptions of the process of champagne. Could have stayed in this region for longer even! Amazing experience all around, very personable!
We had a great time on this tour! Pablo contacted us before we left for our trip to make sure that all arrangements were made in order for things to go smoothly! He met us at the train station so we didn't have to concern ourselves with transportation issues. We learned a lot on our walking tour of Reims and really enjoyed seeing two different types of Champagne houses. The tastings were great and we came away with some knowledge about types of Champagne!
The tour guide Susan was great but the tour itself is way overpriced. There is no VIP or “private” to this tour once you arrive. The two tastings were with other folks, with the basic bottom on the line Champagne choices. I had to pay more to upgrade. I hear that there are better and more personalize places we should of gone to make this trip the experience we were expecting. Unless things change, it would be best for you to book your own train and research the best Champagne places to visit on your own.
Dear customer, we are sorry to hear that the tour was not to your liking. This is not a 'VIP' tour, as you expected. It is a very complete tour, but with prices suitable for a wide audience. Our wineries are of high quality but they are not 'VIP', otherwise the tour would cost a fortune. I don't think the recommendation you make in the review is adequate: taking the train to Reims by yourself would not be the solution to go to the two wineries and the restaurant to which we take you in a private car. Conclusion: if you wanted a 'VIP' tour you would have to pay more than double what you paid. This tour is not VIP, but you can see from the previous reviews that it is of high quality. Thank you
The whole day was relaxed and enjoyable. Our guide Pablo kept the conversation going all day. The cathedral was beautiful and awe inspiring. I did not feel rushed all day. It was a wonderful break from the bustle in Paris.
Pablo was an excellent guide that gave us quite a bit of information about the region and different types of champagne. We also had a little time to explore Reims and see the beautiful cathedral. I highly recommend this tour.
Our guide, Brenda, did a great job. She made it feel like we were touring Champagne with a friend. Thanks so much, Brenda! For anyone completely new to Viator experiences, you’ll want to download WhatsApp. This is the primary way guides communicate with you. We sent Brenda some selfies via WhatsApp- that’s why mention this too. If Brenda is your guide, you’re in good hands.
We had an amazing day with Sophie. The Champagne tasting was a highlight, as was the delicious French lunch. Highly recommended!
