Autrefois capitale de Mewar, cette forteresse historique est située dans l'actuelle ville de Chittorgarh. Une journée complète est recommandée pour vraiment découvrir son vaste complexe. Vijay Stambha, le temple Samadhisvar, le palais de Kumbha et le palais Ratan Singh sont les points forts.
Ensuite, visitez Vijay Stambha, un monument de victoire frappant dans le fort de Chittorgarh. Construite en 1448 par le roi Rajput Rana Kumbha de Mewar, cette imposante structure commémore son triomphe sur l’armée Malwa de Mahmud Khalji lors de la bataille de Sarangpur.
Le palais de Padmini, résidence de Rani Padmini, reine Rajput et épouse du roi Rawal Ratan Singh, revêt une grande importance historique. Ce palais blanc de trois étages donne sur une piscine de lotus sereine et dispose d'élégants pavillons au sommet. Entouré de douves en eau, son architecture unique a inspiré de nombreuses autres structures remarquables entourées d'eau.
Kirti Stambha (Tour de la renommée) est une tour de 22 mètres de haut située dans le fort de Chittorgarh. Construit au XIIe siècle par Jeeja Bhagerwala sous le règne de Rawal Kumar Singh, il se présente comme un hommage à la gloire du jaïnisme. La tour est ornée de sculptures complexes, ce qui en fait un spectacle remarquable. Une visite du fort de Chittorgarh est incomplète sans admirer ce chef-d'œuvre architectural.

Our trip was from Udaipur to Chittorgarh fort, it was really nice and comfortable. Our driver was Prakash bhaiya, he was great and showed us around the city and suggested great places to shop and eat. All of the restuarants suggested had really nice food.

Initially, we were are not planning to go to Chittorgarh because we thought it might be similar to Udaipur that we had done the previous day. However, the experience was amazing and different in many ways. The place itself was wonderful going back so many hundreds of years in history. The tour company made our experience excellent. Rafi was our driver. And Ranjit was our guide. Both of them were excellent and accommodative customizing our needs when required. We covered all the important sites at the Fort. Overall, the travel experience was awesome

Chittorgarh was very crowded, but our driver and the Tour Guide made it as smooth as possible. Bittu and his whole are very helpful and will arrange for all your transportation in and out of Udaipur

The service offered by the travel company was very nice and the guide was very knowledgeable and he he guided us very properly for all the tourist places in Udaipur. he was able to understand all the needs of ours as per our request and he tried to complete the sightseeing visits within the stipulated period of time.
