Our guide, Yossi was so knowledgeable and entertaining. His energy was great and he even kept my 14 year old engaged! We had a wonderful day.
Thank you for your review! Keeping a 14-year-old engaged all day is no small feat, so we're thrilled Yossi's knowledge and energy made it fun for the whole family. At Tourist Israel we seek out the most passionate guides precisely so every guest, of every age, walks away with the best day and lifelong memories. We're so glad you had such a wonderful day, and we'll be sure to share your kind words with Yossi.
The trip to Masada, by itself, is already a spectacle, the sea, the mountains of the desert, really wonderful. And up there is spectacle!!
Thank you for your wonderful review. The journey to Masada is every bit as remarkable as the destination itself, with the beautiful landscapes creating an unforgettable setting. We're so pleased you enjoyed both the breathtaking scenery and the experience of standing atop one of Israel's most iconic historical sites.
very interesting and complete with explanation of all the sectors visited by the guide who tried very hard to explain everything. A whole day touring places that would not otherwise be possible to know and with suggestions but without pressure
We truly appreciate your kind words. We are so pleased to hear that you found the tour interesting and comprehensive, and that the guide took such care to clearly explain each of the places visited. Spending a full day exploring sites that are not always easy to reach independently is exactly what we aim to offer, while ensuring guests feel comfortable, unpressured, and free to enjoy the experience at their own pace. Thank you for choosing to tour with us.
Very beautifull and safety travel. Transport and translater was great, unfortunatly the time is short, one day it's not enough to enjoy all the details
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We look forward to have you with us again!
We learned as we we're being picked up that we would not be seeing Masada due to a road closure. It would have been nice to have known that beforehand so we could have reviewed options - we might have just rescheduled and decided against the early morning public bus ride, on Shabot, to the tour pickup location. Our guide (Yanna?) made the best of a situation that was probably out of her control. We did see amazing sites, such as Christ's baptism location by John the Baptist on the Jordan river. All in all I commend our guide for doing the best she could, and being highly knowledgeable about the sites we visited. BTW, an 8 hour tour can seem REALLY long. 😃 We'll probably be limiting ourselves to 4 & 6 hour tours in the future.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for approaching it so thoughtfully. We understand how disappointing it is to learn about such changes only at pickup—especially after an early morning journey. Road closures, due to safety or police directives, are not always communicated to us prior to departure and are unfortunately outside of our control. However, Tourist Israel tour guides are trained to manage such unforeseen situations and make appropriate adjustments to ensure the tour continues as smoothly as possible. We’re glad to hear that Yana handled the situation professionally and that the alternative sites were meaningful and well-explained. You’re absolutely right that full-day tours can feel long! For travelers who prefer greater flexibility with timing and pacing, we do offer private tours, which allow for a more customized schedule. Thank you again for your balanced and constructive feedback. — Tourist Israel Team
We had Jana for a trip to Masada. This greatly surpassed our expectations. Masada was amazing and Jana explained everything brilliantly. We enjoyed floating in the Dead Sea. We saw the Dead Sea scroll site given that Ein Gedi was washed out on the day. Many thanks Jana.
Thank you, Michaela! We’re thrilled the day exceeded your expectations and that Masada and the Dead Sea were as mesmerizing as you hoped. Our Tourist Israel tours are carefully designed to be flexible, so even when conditions change, our guides can adapt the route to ensure guests still enjoy meaningful sites and memorable experiences.
Guide Yana was enthusiastic and provided us with reasonable nformation about Masada and Cumran. The trip is a perfect mix of hystorical sites and nature experience. The weather was good enough to sweep in the Dead Sea!
Thanks, Anna! We’re glad the mix of history, nature, and Dead Sea time made for an unforgettable day with Tourist Israel!
Although we could not make as planned due weather conditions, Jana did a Great Job in Improvisation! We enjoyed the Trip very much!
Thanks for sharing this. Adapting plans when conditions change is something Tourist Israel guides are carefully trained for, so we’re glad Jana’s flexibility still made the day enjoyable.
Our expectations were disappointed and there was no information about the change of plans in advance, so they could have been cancelled.
We’re sorry your expectations were not fully met. Occasionally, itinerary adjustments are necessary on short notice due to weather, safety, or operational reasons. We understand how important advance notice is so guests can decide whether to proceed, and we strive to share updates as soon as we become aware of them. Our guides always strive to make the most of each situation, ensuring guests still enjoy meaningful and memorable experiences. Thank you for your feedback; it helps us continue improving both communication and guest care. — Tourist Israel Team
The pickup worked perfectly. At the agreed meeting point, a helper informed us 5 minutes before departure that our bus could not stop directly at the David Citadel Hotel because this place was already completely occupied. So it went around the house corner where we were already expected. The trip went as planned only the communication on the bus was a bit difficult because many fellow passengers, 16 people, also liked to talk among themselves, which made the communication with our tour guide, which was in English, a bit more difficult. We learned a lot of information directly at the property with a very detailed, plastic description, also gesturing that a guidebook in book form cannot offer. Although the participants often buzzed around like a flock of mosquitoes, our guide did not lose patience and collected us again and again in time for departure. This allowed her to make the entire tour a successful and very informative event. Thank you very much for this, and also to our bus driver who often dropped us off directly at the entrances and picked us up there again. His speedy driving also entails us again and again small time buffers, so that we had sufficient time available on site to admire the sights properly. All the best and continue to enjoy us "Touris" Klaus W.
Thank you for taking the time to describe your experience so thoroughly. Clear coordination at meeting points and flexible logistics are important to us, especially in busy city centers, so we’re glad the pickup process worked smoothly. It’s great to hear how much value you gained from the on-site explanations and how calmly the guide managed the group throughout the day. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to both the guide and driver!
