KS Lee is full of interesting information and curated a half day tour that helped us understand Penang’s heritage well.
The pleasure was all mine. It was interesting to share my lovely hometown and it was full of fun. Thank you
I really liked seeing the old architecture in Penang. My guide Mr. Lee was very informative & helpful. Great to hear all about its rich history.
We had a lovely day exploring the heritage sites slow , steady and surely , we covered all the important parts to achived what we set out for the day.
My family and I visited Penang in December 2023 and were excited to visit George Town. We received a pre arranged tour which was good, but felt that it was rushed with little history shared. We booked this tour with KS Lee ourselves and we really were not disappointed. Lee collected us from our hotel in his luxury van and drove us between sites. He used prepared materials to help us understand the history of Penang and took us to see amazing temples and historic sites. He was able to tell us the history in detail, allowing us to be totally immersed like we had travelled back in time. Lee showed us the Pinang Peranakan Mansion where we learnt about the lifestyles of the rich and famous and the fantastic history of the Baba Noyan. He was able to answer our questions and help us understand the history of the house the inhabitants. Next, Lee showed us the the Khoo Kongsi clan house - it was beautiful and Lee knew all the best parts to point out. We were able to live like the people that stayed here many years ago and understand how the house was so important to the migrants who arrived in Penang. Lee then drove us to the Chew Jetties - we were really excited to visit these houses on stilts. Lee knew where to park, allowing us quick access to the jetties. He told us about the history and even showed us where the families still live here. I will remember this stop for the rest of my life - a truly amazing experience. Next stop was the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple - with the reclining Buddha. Once again, Lee told us the history in easy to understand style and answered all our questions. A truly amazing stop. Lastly, Lee took us to Little India and showed us all the glorious street artwork and amazingly restored buildings. We felt like we had seen all the important sites in George town and came away understanding the history of the amazing place. Lee is a fantastic guide. He is freindly and explains history in easy to understand style. We loved our time with Lee and were sad that the tour had ended. I can fully recommend this tour to anyone visiting George town. You will not regret it. Our complete thanks to Lee for making our trip to George town memorable.
Even though it was only a 4 hours tour we had, I am very happy to know that the experience enable you and your family to had an enjoyable yet memorable trip. Thank you.
Very interesting tour and highly knowledgeable guide! We could design the tour we wanted and went to the places we preferred which was great. He gave us many additional insights that we did not know before.
Thank you for the feed back. I hope we will have the chance to show you more of Penang again in the near future.
