Our guide, Alejandro, was fantastic. He was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable, and he connected effortlessly with every member of our family, including our 9-year-old and two teenagers. We completely fell in love with the neighborhoods he guided us through, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. We already loved Spain and Madrid, but this experience made us appreciate them even more.
Excellent! Excellent food and excellent tour guide!
This is an excellent food and wine tour of a residential neighborhood in Madrid that we never would have seen without this tour. We really enjoyed everything about it!
So much fun: not only delicious tapas and wine but also abundant and informative commentary on Madrid/Spanish culture, history and even architecture. We also traversed wonderful neighborhoods we were unaware of. Lastly, Simon, our guide, was absolutely perfect - knowledgeable, funny and considerate - he really was the reason the tour was so enjoyable.
Amazing food & drinks. Lovely walk. Owner Amy was great—kind, informative, flexible. She gave tons of ideas to our son, about to start a study abroad semester. Great mix of food, culture, drink, history, and local people. A really fun night!
What a fun, interesting and yummy way to spend an evening. Our guide was very nice, informative and spoke great English. We were a family of four with two kids in their early 20s, with one being a little picky. We all had a great time and enjoyed the other couple on our tour. It sounds like they switch up the restaurants but I cannot imagine it being bad. We were taken to some charming places in an area that seemed very untouristy. We even learned some history along the way that came in handy the next morning at the Prado. We did not leave overly stuffed but had enough to eat for sure. Be aware there could be some minor food sharing with the group but it did not bother us. Our guide even gave us some good restaurant recommendations for later in the trip!
Tapas tour in the heart of malasaña was just what we needed to kickstart our time in Madrid. Our guide Angie was incredibly warm and friendly, knew all about the area and is clearly passionate about helping visitors experience Madrid’s culture. Each stop had a typical Spanish drink and tapa that complimented each other. Loved the venues - some over 100 years old - and the short walks through historical squares in between. Took us to places we wouldn’t have known about on our own, and far from the typical tourist spots. Most importantly for our family, they were happy to accommodate gluten free (celiac) food for one person without compromising the tour for the other person, and understood the importance of avoiding contamination. Would do more tours with her in future visits!
We do a lot of food tours. Love to sample and get some great information about food and culture. This one is now at the top of our list. Food/beverage were great and the guide was incredible. Must do in Madrid.
Just an amazing experience! Our guide, Ines, was tremendous. We truly enjoyed her as a guide and as a person. I would recommend this tour to anyone!
What an absolutely fantastic tour. Just such a great time. The food stops were amazing and the guide Simon was delightful. Super knowledgeable and very personable. I loved too that after the tour was over, they sent us a link to a list of the places where we'd been and what we'd eaten at each stop. Such a great thing. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone I know who is traveling to Madrid.
