Very good. We had a real good time the bus was comfortable our guides were knowledgeable and friendly
We enjoyed our trip to Hallstadt and Salzburg - this was an ideal "taster" tour that wasn't stressful, and didn't break the bank. What to expect: - An early pick up 7am, and a drop off around 8pm. - A lot of time on the coach, but with a comfortable amount of toilet breaks. - A double-decker tour bus, and a large tour group. - Hallstadt and Salzburg are breathtaking (we want to go back and spent a couple of days in each next time. - Professional and courteous staff. There were a couple of mumbles from others about spending so much time on the coach - I am not sure what they were expecting from a day trip travelling half way across the country!
This is a highly rewarding experience for couples seeking a quick, inclusive trip to two destinations: Hallstatt and Salzburg. I recommend following our tour guide (Priscilla) for the initial parts of the tours in Hallstatt and Salzburg, then going out on your own (i.e., free time). In Salzburg, it is recommended to visit Mirabella Gardens and Fortress Hohensalzburg (especially in the warmer months). The only downside to this trip is that the bus is extremely warm in winter. So I recommend wearing short sleeves inside the bus. This bus does not have electrical outlets for charging your electronic devices. So, bring your own power bank.
Steffi was a great guide and shared useful information along the way. Overall, Hallstatt was a typical tourist trap town but had nice scenery. I was disappointed in the time spent in Salzburg. The description said you could join a Sound of Music our, however, no info was given about this once we arrived. I(Austrians do not like this movie and it was clear) Also, the bus let us off a 20 minute walk to any of the sites. This was never mentioned and I wonder how people with limited mobility or older people would navigate this. 40 minutes of the 2 hours spent is Salzburg was spent walking to and from the bus.
Excellent day in the snow plus beautiful scenery. A very friendly guide, Izzy, who made us want to discover. The program respected by all, despite the distances, is worth a visit to admire the Austrian hinterland. In Salzburg the Christmas market still open , a really festive atmosphere. Hallstatt small village nestled in the heart of the mountains, very picturesque, with its shops , is a place not to be missed. On the other hand, restaurants are quickly crowded, small cafeterias stormed. You have to plan on having cash.
Thank you for traveling with NextView Tours! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the Hallstatt and Salzburg trip. It means a lot to us that the experience met your expectations, and we hope to welcome you again on another adventure soon.
Hallstatt was great! Saltburg very disappointing. Our guide talked VERY soft hard to hear and when pointing things out faced the thing which made it harder to hear. Would not recommend her.
Bad service - on the first day we were not picked up at the hotel and claimed that we had not paid the extra for pick-up at the hotel. We complained and were told that we could take the trip the next day with pick-up at the hotel and that we could pay the extra cash to the driver. Once again, we were not picked up. After a second complaint, we have not yet been refunded the travel money that was paid. I do not recommend.
This was a nice tour. Hallstatt is very beautiful but extremely crowded. Salzburg was nice but you are really not there long enough to do anything. It is really not a guided tour at all. You go to maybe 2 stops to see Mozart house and a garden. Our guide was on his phone 90% of the time . It might be worthwhile to just take a train to Salzburg to spend the day.
Beautiful tour! Paris made it very enjoyable! The bus was also very comfortable and the tour was organized.
Hallstatt is a unique beautiful gem to be seen and Salzburg was very charming with the Christmas market and decoration filled with loads of history. Erik was a great guide funny and knowledgeable, thank you. The only downside was the distance which you must take in consideration before booking but well worth it. I really recommend it.
