We had an amazing Sigiriya day tour and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience with our family. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and full of beautiful moments. The highlight was visiting the incredible Sigiriya Rock Fortress — climbing up felt like an adventure, and the views from the top were absolutely breathtaking. The history and ancient frescoes made it even more special. We also enjoyed a peaceful village experience, where we saw local life, traditional farming, and got a real taste of Sri Lankan culture. It was simple, authentic, and very relaxing. The tour was perfectly balanced with adventure and cultural discovery, without feeling rushed at all. Our guide was friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, a must-do tour in Sri Lanka for anyone who loves nature, history, and real local experiences! 🦁🌿
It was a jam packed day full of different experiences. Leaving Colombo at 5.30am to meet Sigiriya Rock around 9pm. This rock is really something. Fortunately there weren't too many visitors and the place didn't feel crowded. The views from up there are stunning. Amazing place to be. The village visit was next. One experience hit the next one. Bull card ride, tractor ride, boat ride over the lake and learning about traditional Sri Lankan food and cooking practices came at the end and was super interesting. The following lunch was absolut delicious. Loved that experience. From there we moved on to the Safari spot. We had a great jeep driver who spotted elephants for us. It felt like he knew where they are going next and followed them. He also shared some valuable information about elephants and answered all my questions. Final stop were the Dambulla caves. Stunning wall & ceiling paintings and endless Buddha statues. It's already an experience to get to the caves. At 10pm we got back to Colombo. Indeed a full itinerary.
We had an incredible and well-organized tour covering Sigiriya Rock, the village experience, and Pidurangala Rock – along with a comfortable overnight stay. It was truly one of the best parts of our Sri Lanka trip! The journey to Sigiriya Rock Fortress was amazing. Climbing to the top was a bit challenging but absolutely worth it. The views from the summit were breathtaking, and learning about the history of this ancient site made it even more special. The village tour was a unique and authentic experience. We enjoyed a peaceful bullock cart ride, a canoe trip across the lake, and a traditional Sri Lankan lunch prepared in a local home. It gave us a real insight into rural life and culture, which we truly appreciated. In the evening, we climbed Pidurangala Rock to watch the sunset. The climb was a bit adventurous, especially towards the top, but the view of Sigiriya Rock from there during sunset was absolutely stunning and unforgettable. The accommodation provided was clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature, giving us a relaxing and peaceful stay after a full day of activities. Everything was well arranged, and the hospitality was excellent. Overall, this tour perfectly combined adventure, culture, and relaxation. From historical landmarks to local village life and scenic views, everything was covered beautifully. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sri Lanka who wants a complete and memorable experience!
Our trip to Sigiriya Rock Fortress was truly one of the best experiences we had as a group! The climb was a bit challenging but totally worth it once we reached the top and saw the incredible views. We also visited Pidurangala Rock, which was more relaxed and offered stunning scenery, especially for photos. The whole journey was smooth, enjoyable, and full of good vibes with friends. A perfect adventure day in Sri Lanka definitely something you shouldn’t miss!
Had an amazing time with friends exploring Pidurangala Rock and the nearby village! Climbing Pidurangala was thrilling, and the views were breathtaking. The village tour was peaceful and gave us a glimpse of local life. A perfect mix of adventure and culture!
I was so pleased with Mr. Harshad, for the whole ride from colombo to Sirigiya introduced me to the local culture, food and stops at places where I could see, explore and enjoy on my own pace! It was definitely a long journey but he managed to make sure that when I needed a translation he was able to assist me, which I appreciate as a mature person on my own, very grateful, thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re delighted you and your wife enjoyed the stunning sights and found the tour relaxing and well-organized. Your kind words about our guide mean a lot. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again soon for another memorable adventure!
The tour guide quickly knew what I was interested in and showed me some other spots to go which I thought was better than the main attraction. Loved this tour!

this is a great tour for those who want to see the beauty of Sigiriya. the trip was calm and safe, the guide told a lot of interesting facts and showed a wonderful place. also we visited the safari in this area (at a very good price) and saw a lot of elephants, animals and birds. thank you very much! it was wonderful.
Pickup was 2h late because viator apparently didn't transmit the booking. One could think about booking directly to avoid something like that. I was accompanied by a very friendly driver, however, he couldn't speak much English. Sigiriya rock is great and really interesting. The village safari I wouldn't do again (extremely touristy). There was NO COOKING CLASS (having asked they said they didn't forget, the lunch plus explanation what everything is is what they meant). Pidurangala was great. In essence, it's probably easier (and cheaper!) to book a driver for a day...
Simply breathtaking! The Sigiriya tour was fantastic. I just enjoyed the rock climb. The pace of life in this region is generally slower and more connected to nature. If you want to take a break from the daily hustle, this is the place to go. I was not too sure if I should take this trip but later I decided to go as I have a free day before I left Sri Lanka. Take my word it is a must see historical wonders and a hidden gem. I will cherish the memories forever!
