Thierry provided an excellent & extremely knowledgeable tour! Highly recommend this tour and guide Thierry!
Our Tour Guide was Lucas E. Stephane and he was excellent! His knowledge was amazing and he was extremely professional. My husband and I were definitely happy with the overall tour. Everyone on our tour felt the very same way. We were fortunate enough to see the reenactment because we were there 2 days before D-Day celebrations. Well worth it.
We had Lucas as our guide and were lucky enough to be the only people on that tour. My son would have preferred a little more hands on with some military equipment to make it more real. Overall though a fantastic tour and would recommend.
Fantastic tour where our guide (Jean Dilasser) told very engaged about the different places and what happened during D-Day. Would definitely recommend the trip, because we would not have gotten the same out of the trip if we had left on our own.
My wife and I did the “Band of Brothers” tour with Overlordtour, and it was an incredibly interesting, memorable, and eventful day. Our guide, Thierry, was absolutely excellent. His knowledge was truly impressive, and he had a wonderful way of bringing the history to life—sharing the key stories, fascinating details, and showing us the places where important events actually happened. He also had a portfolio of wartime photographs, which added so much to the experience by allowing us to compare the locations as they are today with how they looked during D-Day. Thierry’s in-depth knowledge was remarkable, and his answers to our many questions were always insightful and informative. We really could not have wished for a better—or nicer—guide. The minibus was very comfortable and extremely well kept, and the excellent onboard audio system meant we could clearly hear Thierry’s commentary and explanations while travelling between the different sites. An unforgettable day and a truly outstanding experience. Many thanks to Thierry for making it so special. We would highly recommend this tour! Bert
Jean Delasser was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable and personable. We had a great time. Highly recommend.
we brought our entire family to France to experience why we are free and have them understand the sacrifices that were made to give us the environment with which wheat currently enjoy today. Me and my husband, my two sons that wives and my two year-old granddaughter did the overlord tour with Lucas Ducourtioux on August 5, 2026. Lucas was engaging with excellent interpersonal skills during knowledgeable and gave us an exceptional experience. He was accommodating friendly andmade sure that we had all of our questions answered. We had a lunch at a lovely little restaurant that was just superb. I would highly lucas for this tour. He has a military family served in the military for five years before he came to do this business and aside from his personal interest. He is very passionate about the World War II history. I can’t describe a better tour and I would give it five out of five stars. If you’re lucky enough to engage lucas you’ll have an exceptional experience. Laura and Tony Mulloy, Augusta, Georgia USA.
Spent an informative and interesting day with our guide, Theo. He knows an incredible amount about the history of the area. We visited Omaha Beach, the American Cemetary, Bayeau, and Honfleur. The discussion on the beach and reference material really put the magnitude, danger, and brutality of the invasion in perspective. The two towns were beautiful but rather crowded, perhaps due to the incredible weather. Because Overloadtour was running so many separate tour groups from our ship, it was a bit confusing finding the right group in the morning. It was great that the groups were small.
Our D-Day tour was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Lucas and Stephane were absolutely outstanding guides. Their knowledge of the history was exceptional and they brought the events of D-Day to life with detailed stories, historical context, and a genuine passion for honoring those who served. Beyond their expertise, Lucas and Stephane were incredibly kind, professional, and personable. They made everyone feel welcome, answered every question thoughtfully, and ensured that the experience was both educational and deeply meaningful. Their respect for the history and the sacrifices made by the soldiers was evident throughout the entire tour. We had an unforgettable experience and only wish we had more time with them. If you’re considering a D-Day tour, I cannot recommend Lucas and Stephane highly enough. They made this far more than just a sightseeing trip—they created an experience we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you both for an incredible day!
Very impressed with guide, Remy, it was like taking a tour with a history professor. He was informative and entertaining and we really enjoyed the full day tour. It was an unusually hot day and the van did not have time to completely cool between stops- glad we were prepared with fans and water. Overall I would highly recommend this tour (but not for kids or teenagers- it’s a long day).
