Our guide Isa was absolutely spectacular fetching us from our lodge and even checking we were fine to get there from the airport initially, despite our short 3 day trip he managed to squeeze everything out of it for us making above and beyond effort to make our experience memorable; organising a Mokoro river trip, local village tour, tracking lions, stopping at any hint of interest on our drives, and sharing his valuable knowledge about all the animals we saw. Our campsite team were also so lovely our chef Ollie making us delicious food every day and even going far enough to create amazing gluten free meals for us. As well as a wonderfully set up site by Victor and Calvin boiling even boiling water for us to shower with in the evenings. The setting and experience of the totally wild safaris was like nothing imaginable making you feel safe and comfortable and looked after in the breathtaking surroundings of the reserve with animals wandering through the camp site so close and the wonderful calls of animals can be heard during the night. I could not recommend Isa and his team more enthusiastically, after this experience I can honestly say there is no better way to spend your time in the reserve and surely not many who would create such a memorable experience in Botswana. Thank you Isa, Ollie, Victor, and Calvin
After very prompt and helpful communication with Isa of extremely wild safaris we booked a 9 night luxury camping experience visiting the delta for 9 nights. Isa picked us up from Maun and we began our journey to the delta, we experienced many amazing sightings of lions, leopards, wild dogs, cheetah as well as memorable sightings of elephant/zebra, giraffe, the birds are also amazing. Isa is amazing at tracking the animals and understanding their behaviours ensuring we never missed an amazing photo opportunity. Isa has a huge amount of knowledge of the delta environment and its many inhabitants. The camp itself was fantastic, comfortable tents/beds and ensuite toilet. A bucket shower was enjoyed every day and the camp staff were fabulous, they made sure we were comfortable and prepared the fire, water for showers, set up the tents etc, they are lovely guys with a great sense of humour. Chef ollie did an amazing job preparing yummy food of which we all enjoyed and we were never disappointed with her daily menu, thankyou Chef . If you are considering a safari trip in the delta you should definitely get in touch with Isa, we had an amazing and memorable time in the delta and we are hoping to visit again very soon and would definitely go with Isa and extremely wild with no hesitation.
Wow - what an extraordinary journey. I've been on a lot of safari's in my time and this one was the pinnacle of them. We only went for a week and we wish it had been a month! We'll certainly be back. An amazingly warm crew of caring guides and camp support!
Sia and his colleagues are very friendly and make your trip with the Mokoro on the Okavango unforgettable! The communication with Sia went smooth and easily. We could book a safari with him last minute and he made sure everything went like we wanted. We met the day before to prepare the trip, discuss the lunch we wanted, the pickup time and what the day would look like. We were fully prepared. The day itself was so relaxed and peaceful and beyond expectations. The delta is beautiful and you slide along the calm and peaceful water with a mokoro (traditional canoe). You go for a walking safari and have lunch in the beautiful nature, overlooking the hippo’s grazing and bathing (in our case). You return back with the mokoro and then the driver brings you back to the lodge. We didn’t have to worry about anything during the whole day, everything was perfectly planned out for us!
