The tour overall was very good except for when they add in extra stops that are just to try to make you spend money. When you’ve been out for 15 hours the last thing you want to visit is another jewelry store for them to try to hustle you.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable on this tour, and the driver was able to take us to all of the impressive Inca sites in a timely manner without rushing the tour group too much. The guide was also a good photographer. The buffet lunch was also good and had a wide range of options. Note: this is not the fault of this tour organizer, but I recommend bringing toilet paper, because the bathrooms at the Inca sites themselves did not have any available to visitors.
While the archaeological sites were interesting and worth seeing, we were disappointed with the tour guide. Much of the information seemed to be read directly from a book, and the overall experience lacked the depth and engagement we were hoping for. This tour is also very strict on timing, which makes for a long day, especially with the additional stops included alongside the Sacred Valley sites. Many of these extra stops felt more like sales presentations than cultural experiences. The guide strongly suggested that these were the best, and sometimes only, places to purchase certain items. As a result, I later realized I had significantly overpaid for items such as salt, chocolate, and baby alpaca textiles. The lunch was acceptable, but families with picky eaters may want to bring snacks to supplement the meal. Overall, the Sacred Valley is beautiful and worth visiting, but I would have preferred a tour that focused more on the history and culture and less on shopping opportunities.
I had an excellent Sacred Valley tour that was very well organised from start to finish. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, well-prepared, and provided detailed explanations throughout the day, helping us understand the history, culture, and significance of each site we visited. A mention also goes to the driver, who was professional and reliable throughout the journey, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the day. The itinerary is definitely intense, with a lot to see and do in a single day, but if you are short on time, this is the perfect way to experience the highlights of the Sacred Valley. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comprehensive and well-run Sacred Valley experience.
Fantastic experience! All the sites visited were fantastic! The guide was impeccable. I would have spent more time visiting the towns of Ollantaytambo and Pisac, which are really charming. The weather changes every moment; it goes from cold to strong sun, then rain, and back to sun, and then cold again. The Inca history is truly incredible, and I really experience it here.
The tour guide (Arnold) was incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and charismatic. Transportation was as comfortable as is possible and the views were breathtaking.
This tour is well organized and hits all the major sacred valley highlights. It would be impossible to fit in any more. Despite packing so much in it didn’t feel rushed. The guide Arnold was very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver was great. My only criticism is I would cut the “silver workshop” at the end.
This is a very comprehensive tour but it feels TOO long to be enjoyable. We were picked up at 6:30am and dropped back at 7:30pm. In some of the best sites (in my opinion, Ollantaytambo and Pisac) you feel rushed only having 25-45 mins to explore. They could make it shorter by cutting out the stops at the touristy shops near the salt mines and Pisac. I give credit to the driver and guide who got us around quickly and safely and were knowledgeable about the sites.
Arnold was friendly, informative and a very knowledgeable guide. He made the full day experience so fun. It’s a long day but action packed. If you are into learning about the Sacred Valley this tour is for you. Ask for Arnold. Our driver was awesome too!’
Great guide, knowledgeable and helpful, made everything clear. A lot of activities packed into one day, definitely worth it.
