Loin de l'agitation des quartiers Punda et Otrobanda de Curaçao se trouve une île isolée et inhabitée avec des plages de sable blanc, une eau cristalline, un récif spectaculaire et une vie marine colorée. L'île plate et balayée par le vent de Klein Curaçao (néerlandais pour Little Curaçao) est la Mecque des plongeurs, des plongeurs et des baigneurs. We had the most amazing day with Mermaid Tours at Klein Curacao. My son loved chasing the lizards and playing with the hermit crabs the most. -Parking: Parking was super easy and stress free -Check in: To avoid long lines, prepay for your tour -Trip over to Klein and back: IF YOU GET SEASICK AT ALL---TAKE DRAMAMINE!!! I don't get seasick super easily but it was so rough and I threw up twice. If you do get sick, sit at the front of the boat and let the splashes cool you down. That helped a lot. -Breakfast: Eat before you go- they had a small breakfast and we didn't care for it. -Lunch: Awesome!!!!! tips: -Make sure you take towels as they don't have any there. -Have one member of your party swim to shore to grab a tiki umbrella as these are limited. You'll otherwise have to wait on the ferry tender to come and transport you and that takes a while and you'll miss out on the umbrellas. -Bring your own water bottle to stay hydrated and not rely on small cups. -DRAMAMINE- take it before you go!
A beautiful experience with excellent staff. The food was delicious, the boat was nice (take motion sickness meds), the beach house & island were great.
Friendly & fun crew, larger boat with facilities; light breakfast & lunch provided were delicious; water/sodas available all day. Be prepared for high seas, a day of full sun/heat; plenty of lounge chairs, limited sun shade. Swimming & exploring the island were wonderful. Highly recommend this crew for Klein Curacoa trip.
Great crew. Very attentive and friendly.. Ride is rough going as described by many (was overcast when we keft) but once we tendered it was smooth sailing from there (and the ride back was a breeze). Mermaid Tours has the best part of the beach, with a great set up (chairs, palapas, guest house). Nice quick walk to lighthouse. Breakfast is cheese and ham and cheese sandwiches with fruit. Lunch was more of a spread with salads, fruit, potato salad, rice and grilled meats. Enjoy the many hermit crabs that roam the beach. 5 stars
The breakfast was very poor. The stuff was friendly, but the captain was rude every time we had contact with him. There is barely any marine life to do snorkeling. There are plenty of beaches around Curaçao that are similar or better and free. Don’t waste your money and day with this trip.
Fantastic experience, cannot recommend it enough! Paradise-like views were made so much more special due to the staff who thoughtfully prepared a birthday surprise for me and my girlfriend and played along with making my proposal to my now fiancee! Milo you rock! Forever thank you.
Excellent tour, they fulfilled everything and I only made a reservation several days in advance. Everything was excellent!!!
The ride over was a little rough so if you’re get sea sick easy take medicine.The way back was a lot better and seemed quicker. The Island was everything they it is, not. Disappointed . The food was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only real complaint , wish I could stay ! lol If you’re on the fence do it, I did!
We had a great time at the mermaid beach house! The staff were very nice. Lunch was delicious and the drinks from the bar were outstanding. A couple of opportunities for improvement: it seems that people who purchase tickets in person paid less than this online listing. Also, the seats on the boat were extremely uncomfortable. Lastly, breakfast was not nearly as delicious as lunch was. However, these small places that need improvement are 100% outweighed by all the amazing other aspects of the experience. I would definitely book this again in the future.
A very fun and worthwhile excursion! The ride there was rough so the seasick passengers definitely struggled. Fortunately my wife and I are not prone to sea sickness. The crew was cheerful and helpful the entire journey especially to the seasick passengers all while maintaining a good sense of humor. You could tell the crew really enjoyed their work. Klein island was incredible. Maybe the best beach we’ve ever been to and definitely the best beach we visited while in Curacao. The breakfast was ham and cheese sandwiches or just cheese and fruit. The lunch was DELICIOUS perfectly grilled ribs and chicken. I didn’t try the burgers but they looked great too. My wife is vegetarian and she was able to have a nice meal of potatoe salad, rice, bread, cheese, and fresh pineapple and watermelon. After the lunch the crew fed scraps of bread to the birds and fish which made for a spectacle above and below the water. We feel like Mermaid Boat Trops was the best outfitter we could’ve picked. They had a very nice facility on Klein with running water and restrooms. The ride back (going with the wind) was much smoother and faster with no sick passengers.
