Randonnée dans le parc national Avec notre guide naturaliste bilingue, vous marcherez 3,5 km sur le chemin circulaire de Las Pailas à travers la forêt tropicale pour profiter des meilleures vues sur le volcan, la nature incroyable, l'activité volcanique et la faune. Le parc abrite plus de 300 espèces d'oiseaux et de nombreux autres animaux, tels que des tatous, des baies, des iguanes, des coatis et des singes à face blanche, des singes hurleurs, des singes araignées, des toucans, des dindes et bien plus encore. Vous vous arrêterez pour observer l'activité volcanique, notamment des pots de boue bouillonnante, des fumerolles et un mini cratère. Le secteur de Las Pailas montre de façon spectaculaire la puissance du volcan Rincon de la Vieja, le volcan le plus actif et le plus grand de Guanacaste, au Costa Rica. La vapeur et le soufre proviennent des fumerolles naturelles du sol jaune et rouillé. Observez des seaux d'argile dans diverses nuances de brun avec de l'eau volcanique bouillante, de fines bulles de boue volcanique grise et des explosions dans de grands seaux. Ce volcan ne ressemble à aucun autre au Costa Rica.
Ensuite, promenez-vous dans la cascade d'Oropendola et baignez-vous dans sa piscine bleue exceptionnelle. Entourées d'une forêt tropicale sèche, les sources chaudes de Río Negro (Rivière Noire) disposent de dix piscines d'eaux thermales chauffées naturellement par le volcan Rincón de la Vieja. Our driver Mr Grievin was very patient with our schedule there. He ensured our ride to and from there was comfy. We had a great time, the waterfalls and hot springs were amazing.

Faro Travel is great to work with and glad we booked them for this. Our driver w as timely, friendly and courteous. The hike is a bit longer than we expected (our watches said closer to 3 miles) with quite a bit of ups and downs so bring plenty of water. The guide was great making sure everyone got rest when needed. The hot springs are a great way to relax and unwind after the hike.
If you want to spend four hours in a junker taxi with no suspension in rush hour traffic, just to get to the tour starting point and back take this trip. In addition there were so many people on the tour you couldn't hear the guide talking if you wanted to. The tour operator could have cared less about the circumstances.
This was a must do ! We had such an awesome experience! The tour through the rain forest was incredible the waterfalls were breathtaking just being down in the rocks and the cold water was something I’ll never forget and the hot springs with the mud bath was truly amazing can’t believe how beautiful this whole experience was! From start to finish this was an excellent adventure and experience. We were picked up on time from our hotel -Riu Palace in Guanacaste. The car was clean and comfortable for the 1.15 min drive to the National Park. When we arrived at the check in location at the Hacienda Hotel we were greeted with warm smiles and information about our Tour. After a short while of re-hydrating and sun screening, we met our amazing guide SANTOS who took us via shuttle to the entrance of where we started our hike. He explained to us (me and my husband and teenage sons) that we would walk through and he would explain the wildlife, trees, fruits, etc. It was a breathtaking walk with so many incredible stops and photo ops along the way. SANTOS was so patient with our questions, and took the time to explain what we were seeing. The terrain was very clear (path) but it was uphill most of the way. Our group was able to keep up and manage, but good to know depending on activity level. SANTOS then took us to the Waterfall where we enjoyed a dreamlike plunge in the stone covered pool. The water felt so refreshing and invigorating after the hike. After our waterfall adventure, SANTOS departed to meet another group. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We then met back with our driver who accompanied us for an authentic hot lunch, and then to the HOT SPrings and Mud. We spent about an hour and a half relaxing in the pools and cooling off in the cooler river. What an amazing adventure full of memories that will last a lifetime! I wish i could give more than 5 stars!

Amazing experience. Starts with. A 2 hr 2 mile hike. (Intermediate level. Lots of elevation change. We saw tons of monkeys and birds. Different eco systems. Very cool. The. A breathtaking waterfall. Lunch Hot springs and mud bath. The wife and I loved it.

The guide we had on the nature hike and waterfall was excellent. We saw mud and hot springs around the volcano and got to swim in a secluded waterfall. Water was very cold but very therapeutic. We had a lunch buffet at the restaurant in the park and then went to the hot spring pools for more therapy. Wonderful Day!

Everything was amazing! This company is top notch. The nature guide was extremely knowledgeable. We were able to see so many interesting plants and animals. Johnny was a fantastic tour guide for our hike pointing out different animals and plants. They provide a towel for swimming in the waterfall and hot springs so no need to pick your own. Waterfall water was about 68 degrees Fahrenheit so very cold but good way to cool off from the hike.
