La journée passionnante commence par un rendez-vous à votre hôtel avec un représentant de Sanota Walkers. Ensuite, vous visiterez l’un des temples très vénérés du Sri Lanka, le temple Gangarama, situé sur le célèbre et pittoresque lac Beira, au cœur de la ville de Colombo. Le temple Gangarama a été créé il y a environ cent vingt (120) ans et est l'un des temples bouddhistes les plus importants du Sri Lanka. Construit à l'origine pour être un petit ermitage sur un morceau de terre marécageuse au 19ème siècle avant notre ère, le temple s'est développé pour inclure plusieurs bâtiments imposants et est devenu un lieu de culte de renommée internationale, un centre d'apprentissage, ainsi qu'une salle de réunion pour les moines hébergeant également un musée, une bibliothèque et une chambre de relique, entre autres.
Seema Malaka est un temple bouddhiste à Colombo, au Sri Lanka. Le temple est principalement utilisé pour la méditation et le repos, plutôt que pour le culte. Situé dans le lac Beira, le temple a été construit à la fin du 19ème siècle.
Une fois que vos sens ont été excités par l'ancien et le nouveau chez Fort & Pettah, il est maintenant temps de visiter le mondialement célèbre Galle Face Green et de vous détendre au son apaisant des vagues qui défilent sur les côtes. Surplombant le magnifique océan Indien, attenant à la magnifique plage de Galle Face et au célèbre hôtel de style colonial, le Galle Face Hotel (connu sous le nom d'Asie Emerald on the Green depuis 1864) est une élégante promenade bordée de palmiers ondulants et fréquemment visitée par les habitants et les visiteurs. de même appelé le Galle Face Green.
Passons maintenant à un lieu très spécial appeléIndependence Squar, situé à quelques minutes à peine de l’ancien Parlement. Ce bâtiment a été construit pour commémorer l’indépendance du Sri Lanka par rapport à la domination coloniale. Il est situé au même endroit où un podium spécial a été construit en 1948 pour marquer la cérémonie du début de l’autonomie et du nouveau parlement du Sri Lanka. Le bâtiment de l’Independence Square abrite également un musée présentant l’histoire de tous les individus qui ont lutté et se sont battus pour l’indépendance du Sri Lanka.
Le Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara ou Kelaniya Temple est un temple bouddhiste situé à Kelaniya, au Sri Lanka, à 11 km de Colombo. Le titulaire en chef est le vénérable professeur Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkhitha Thera.

A great introduction to Colombo, our guide was well versed on the city and very informative. The tour did the top highlights of the city, and show cased the the interesting mix of temples and religions. The tour is recommended for those new to the city with limited time to self explore. Lunch was also great, an opportunity to try something local.

The pick-up from the port did not work, the statement “They will be picked up at the ship and the guide has a sign with their name” did not take place. The guide spoke only English , booked and promised was a German guide.

My driver was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He drove safely. The car was clean and AC to keep me cool. I visited many temples to experience the cultural life. I ate at a wonderful restaurant for lunch. We able to go to a store for survivors.

The driver was very knowledgeable of Hindi and Buddhists temples. The sights were fantastic. Even though the tour online it says approx 6 hours, we were informed that is actually 4 hours of tour then 1 hour of shopping which was not in the description. We did 4 1/4 hours and were exhausted, so it’s the right amount of touring. We recommend this tour.

Our city tour with Subash around Colombo was excellent and quite because of Independence Day, a nice lunch at a Curry restaurant,good local information and a very caring quire.
