Explorez les étonnantes forêts de nuages du Costa Rica lors de cette visite de Monteverde. Votre visite commence le matin lorsque vous êtes pris en charge à votre hôtel de la région de San Jose et vous vous dirigerez ensuite vers la partie nord du pays sur une route très pittoresque, avec de superbes vues sur les magnifiques chaînes de montagnes, les villes locales, les fermes et le Côte Pacifique du Costa Rica. Sur le chemin de Monteverde, vous profiterez également de plusieurs arrêts pour voir la majeure partie du Costa Rica. Arrêtez-vous brièvement au plus grand stand de fruits du pays, où vous découvrirez une grande variété de fruits tropicaux.
Continuez votre visite avec un arrêt à Caldera, où vous visiterez un endroit où de nombreux singes capucins à face blanche sont normalement observés à l'état sauvage à une distance remarquablement proche.
Prenez de superbes photos de paysages incroyables en montant vers les montagnes de Monteverde, quelques arrêts seront effectués dans des points de vue où de belles vues sur le golfe de Nicoya et la chaîne de montagnes de Monteverde peuvent être vues par temps clair.
Une fois à Monteverde, vous savourerez un délicieux déjeuner près de la ville de Santa Elena, puis vous ferez la visite incroyable des ponts suspendus dans la forêt nuageuse du parc Selvatura, où vous marcherez avec votre guide pendant environ 2-3 heures en admirant les beautés de cet éco-système rare et la recherche de la faune locale, comme les singes, les toucans émeraude, les coatimundis et le rare quetzal resplendissant, le plus bel oiseau du Costa Rica. Cette randonnée est d'env. 3 kilomètres de long (1,9 miles) et cela se fait principalement sur un terrain plat avec quelques montées douces. En fin d'après-midi, nous vous ramènerons à votre hôtel de San Jose ou nous pouvons vous emmener à votre hôtel situé au centre de Monteverde si vous prévoyez de rester dans cette région après la visite.

Our guide was Alex and he was very kind and knowledgeable. Cautious but efficient driver too. The trip was great as we saw the capuchin monkeys in wild, such a peaceful and serene experience! Then went to a local restaurant and our food concern/choice was taken care of, without any problem. Monteverde forest was the highlight of the trip, with amazing guide there too. It was an amazing experience through the forest and hanging bridges.

It was a long day. Most of the trip was spent in a car ride. The trip started at 7am, and we were back at the hotel around 8.30PM. It was worth the long car ride. The trail we went to was phenomenal! It was a true rainforest experience. Our tour guide (Alex) took really good care of us. He was very kind and funny. The food was okay, nothing special. The survivor shop we went to after the trip was very expensive. Everything there was the same thing they sell at the airport. The car ride was very rough, so please be prepared lol. The only thing we didn't like was the first stop at the snack shops. It was way too long. It was about 40 minutes. I think that was unnecessary. We only have about 20 minutes to spend time with the monkey. If you are the type of person who loves animals and cares about nature, you will not enjoy Monkey House. Don't forget to bring a rain jacket!

Long Day for seniors pick up @ 5:30 home @ 8PM. Needs to find better stops with better bathrooms. We did have enough bathroom stops. Tour operator choice of restaurant did not provide the food we pre-order. I do not like subitutes as I am a diabetic. Would like to driver to stop occasionally for scenic stops. The tour guide was informative. But group moved along too quickly for seniors.Guide did not find any wild birds or animals. Will go UTube for info before going. Then take an Uber as we are group of three. Should have group rates. After watching UTube will plan my own trip.

The trip to the cloud forest in Monteverde was well worth it! Our guide and driver, Alex, did a great job, it felt like a small, personal tour! He made sure everything was going ok, made some stops to break up the long drive, and gave us a lot of interesting information about Costa Rica. Would definitely recommend!
