Pendant deux siècles, Golconda fut la capitale du diamant dans le monde antique. Le fort lui-même est l'une des plus grandes fortifications médiévales de l'Inde - 15 grandes tours, 51 petites tours et 446 ouvertures sur 11 kilomètres de murs, avec un système acoustique si précisément conçu qu'un seul claquement de main à la porte de base est clairement audible aux appartements royaux 90 mètres au-dessus. Les tombes de Qutub Shahi à proximité sont les mausolées des sept rois qui ont construit Golconda, situés dans des jardins où même les criminels réfugiés étaient traditionnellement graciés. Le mélange architectural des styles persan, pathan et hindou ne se trouve nulle part ailleurs en Inde. 8 h 00 - Prise en charge à l'hôtel pour une visite d'une demi-journée à Hyderabad Nous nous dirigeons vers Golconda, située à 11 km de la ville d'Hyderabad. Le fort de Golconde est sans doute la plus grande forteresse de colline de l'Inde. Construit en 1143 après JC pour servir de fort dans la boue, il fut fortifié entre le XIVe et le XVIIe siècle et fut le principal palais des sultans Bahmani et de la dynastie des Qutub Shahi. Notre guide fera revivre l'histoire de ce fort et comment il a façonné l'avenir d'Hyderabad et de ses habitants.
Notre prochaine destination de la visite d’une demi-journée à Hyderabad est la mise au jour des tombeaux de Qutub Shahi, à la mémoire des anciens rois de Golconda. L'arc, les colonnes, les minarets à dôme et les galeries ont un aspect exquis et sont entourés de jardins appelés Ibrahim Bagh. Selon la légende, ces tombeaux ont été révérés pendant le règne des rois Qutub Shahi et même les criminels qui se sont réfugiés ici ont été pardonnés.

Ms. Shashi did an excellent job of guiding me and adapting her explanations to my engineering mind set . Focusing attention on construction aspects without forgetting the cultural and religious sides of the places .highly recommend her as a tour guide .

My husband and I booked this tour as a way to learn some of the history of the city. “Jolly Jon”, our tour guide, picked us up in a car with a driver and took us to see the fort and nearby tombs of the royal family. Absolutely fascinating! Jon is passionate about sharing the history of his city and country. We were really able to envision life in the fort and surrounding area. This was a tour we won’t forget and would highly recommend.

Srinu is a good storyteller and made the tour enjoyable. It was good to see the places in comfort with a knowledgeable local. Every detail was taken care of abd it made the 4 hour tour go by quickly.

Really enjoyable and informative tour. I would highly recommend this, and if I return to India I will be using this company for future tours. Special call out to our tour guide, Sashi, who was extremely knowledgable and accommodating. She has been guiding tours in Hyderabad for 22 years, and it showed! Even though it was rainy we still had a great experience at the Fort and Tombs. Both are definitely well worth a visit and have a rich history.
