Nous visiterons l'incroyable beauté des cascades pétrifiées de Hierve el Agua qui ont été formées il y a des milliers d'années par le ruissellement de l'eau avec du carbonate de calcium. C'est le moyen idéal de visiter Hierve el Agua. Nous serons un petit groupe, et vous pourrez marcher à travers les cascades, nager et vous détendre. Sans ajouter d'arrêts inutiles. Nous nous retrouverons dans le centre de Oaxaca. Ensuite, nous commencerons notre voyage à Hierve el Agua (1 h 30 [70 km]). Une fois arrivés, nous commencerons la randonnée vers les cascades pétrifiées. Nous irons aux meilleurs points de vue pour apprécier des vues spectaculaires. Puis nous marcherons jusqu'à la base pour les voir d'en bas et observer leur majesté. Nous continuerons le voyage de retour pour conclure dans les piscines naturelles où nous pourrons nager et nous détendre. I had a confirmed reservation for this tour, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The tour was cancelled the night before, leaving me with very limited time to reorganize my plans in Oaxaca. I understand that unexpected situations can happen, but the way this was handled was not acceptable. Viator processed a full refund, but the refund does not change the fact that I lost valuable travel time and had to rearrange my plans at the last minute. My review is based on the overall handling of the situation: confirmed booking, last-minute cancellation, and the lack of a clear alternative solution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this operator.
We had a fabulous day with Paul touring Hierve el Agua. The scenery was beautiful and we especially loved swimming in the pools after a bit arduous and hot hike. Overall, Paul took good care of us and made sure we had enough time to enjoy the pools and lunch.
The excursion to Hierve el Agua was quite entertaining and refreshing. If you are thinking of taking a short but productive tour, this is it. Our guide was very kind and explained everything; he was also punctual with the schedules. It is very important to heed the recommendations about comfortable shoes and sun protection, as there is no shade and you walk on trails. The local guide was also kind; he offered to take our photographs at key points. At the end, they have a food area that is quite accessible and varied, as well as clothing and souvenirs.

Paul cancelled at 11pm the night before my booked trip because his car was being serviced. I understand that issues like this can happen unexpectedly, but I would have hoped for more notice so that I had time to make alternative plans. If you're tight on time I'd book with a different operator that isn't reliant on one vehicle, as looking at other reviews it sounds like he has recurring car troubles!
This natural wonder is not to be missed. Bus ride is long but everything worked perfectly. Guides were knowledgeable, especially about plants.
We had a lovely time on this half day trip to Hierve El Agua with Paul and Luiz. They were both lovely and chatty, and very knowledgeable about the local flora. It’s a short hike to the bottom and back up so would recommend good sandals or sneakers. Swimming in the pools was also a highlight!
This tour was perfect! We met up early and avoided the crowds, first we did a small hike to observe the waterfall from below, then had some time to enjoy the view and swim in the natural pool. It was not crowded at all and Paul was very knowledgeable and nice, it felt like going on an excursion with a friend. Highly recommended!
Well coordinated trip. We got to Hierve el Agua early and did the route so that we weren't stuck in any crowds. Luis, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable.
We had contact with Paul a few days before via WhatsApp. That's why he had our number. Since he had problems with his vehicle (workshop appointment), he was able to postpone this trip for us to another day and we were able to clarify this well via WhatsApp. This made it quite hectic a day before, but in the end we could feel the trip. The descent, the explanations then at Hierve El Aqua and also the return transport went very well and we can therefore recommend Paul at any time.
