Description
Après un trajet en van commenté de 9 miles jusqu'à l'extrémité nord de l'île Douglas et une courte séance d'entraînement, les invités commencent à faire du vélo électrique. Après avoir roulé le long du rivage sur une piste cyclable pavée dédiée en profitant de la brise fraîche de l'océan et d'une vue imprenable sur la plus grande forêt nationale d'Amérique. La visite vous emmène dans une courte promenade sur un ancien chemin de Forrest jusqu'à une plage isolée offrant des opportunités de photos incroyables.

Highly recommend
I would highly recommend this experience! We had James as our tour guide and he was wonderful. We were the only two people on the tour because the weather was rainy and foggy, and felt like we got a personalized tour of Douglas Island from a local. The e-bikes were in great condition and we really enjoyed taking in the scenery while riding. We stopped multiple times and took a short walk through the rainforest, stopping along the way to learn about the nature and history in the area. Great tour and would highly recommend!

Douglas Island e-bike ride
Good outdoor experience and the weather was great. A little misleading because it said “Mendenhall Glacier”, however the views were from Douglas Island and not near the Glacier itself. Guide was nice and it included a pleasant walk in the woods. E-bikes were in good condition .

I do want to clarify the mention of Mendenhall Glacier in our tour description. Our eBike Rainforest Adventure does include views of Mendenhall Glacier from North Douglas Island, and we advertise the glacier as one of the scenic highlights of the tour. The tour is not a trip to the Mendenhall Glacier itself, but rather an opportunity to experience the coastline, Tongass National Rainforest, waterfalls, local scenery, and views of the glacier along the way.
As a local, this is actually one of my personal favorite views of Mendenhall Glacier. From this distance, you can see much more of the glacier and the surrounding landscape than you can when viewing it up close, and you get to take in the scenery without the crowds that you often find at the glacier itself. I appreciate you sharing your perspective.
We want our guests to not only see Alaska, but to experience it and learn why it is important to us as locals. I hope you were able to enjoy some of those uniquely Alaskan experiences during your time with us!

Good experience
Would definitely recommend . The guide was knowledgeable and the adventure was fun. This was my first time on an e-bike and I loved it . Very good instructions .

Very NIce Afternoon on an EBike
Good equipment and training in how to use the bikes.
The ebikes were in good shape and easy to use. They were electric assist bikes, so if you weren't pedaling, you weren't moving.
There was a lot of information given about the area. Riding through the rainforest was interesting with no traffic and a smooth, paved surface.
There were about 5 stops to get additional information and to take in the views and surroundings.
There were about 10 people in the group, and everyone rode pretty much in a line.
The length of the tour was great. It was a 9 mile round trip and took about an hour and a half with the stops.

We really enjoyed this...
We really enjoyed this tour! Serena and James were great guides and provided lots of information about Alaska and the local plants and wildlife. The bike ride was so scenic and it was a great way to get away from the crowds.

Great time!
Phoenix and James were great guides - loved the cycle ride and the rainforest walk - saw the glacier and even a bald eagle eating a salmon in the river 😊
