Lauren was a great tour guide. We biked 27 miles to Johnston Canyon then hiked to the lower falls. We took a van back to home base. It was a great 1/2 day experience.

Our guide, Jake, led our tour...it was easy to get started and we proceeded to start the biking portion quickly which was terrific first thing in the morning with beautiful views and limited traffic. Getting to Johnston Canyon Lower Falls was a quick 30 minute hike up and 20 minutes back. The entire tour was just shy of 4 hours getting back to the storefront. Would recommend to others looking to get out of the city for a few hours.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely staff of White Mountain adventures, test rode our bikes, then set off on our adventure guided by our wonderful guide/leader of the pack, Calvin. We stopped along the way and Calvin shared his knowledge of the area. A great way to work off the jet lag from a direct flight from Sydney. Followed by a walk to Johnston canyon falls - brilliant. The adventure ended with a comfortable mini van ride back to Banff. Would highly recommend this professional company for a well run tour with excellent guide. Fantastic eBike ride and hike with our terrific guide, Lauren, from Banff to Johnston Canyon with hard to top scenery. Lauren kept our small group engaged with interesting information and history about the area, and topped it off with that trademark Canadian friendliness. An absolute treat!

This tour was one of my favorite experiences while in Banff. The e-bikes made the ride to Johnston Canyon feel essentially effortless! Calvin was a fantastic guide and super fun! I would give this activity and Calvin both 10 stars, if I could!!

Our tour guide Evan was very personable. We rode through beautiful scenery and hiked to a waterfall. Evan led well and took photos of us when asked. We had a great time!

Nicholas is a fab guide. Extremely helpful and informative. (and very easy on the eye too 😜). Everything done to suit the pace of the group. Great walk (although maybe offer this with a walk to the upper falls). Great bikes, great scenery and even a black bear sighting. Fabulous and good value for money.

Note that the Upper Falls would require an additional 2 hours which pushes this beyond a 1/2 day excursion. It is certainly well worth the extra time for anyone who has the extra time
Flynn was a great guide, super friendly, kept things going at a perfect pace! The hike was busy, but the views totally made up for it. The bike ride was relaxing and the views didn't disappoint even with a little smoke lingering around.
Thank you for your review! We really enjoy the canyon for the up-close views, and the ebike for the wide open spaces and lack of people. It's two different views into Banff National Park in one tour, for sure. Glad to hear Flynn took such good care of you on your day together.
Scenery is great. But about half the tour is on a busy road, riding on a narrow side medium. The hike is also very crowded. Tour company itself was great. I’d happily book a different tour with them. But can’t recommend this one.
Hi Nick, thank you for your compliments towards our guide and our operation. Johnston Canyon is Banff's most popular short day hike, and definitely sees crowds in the summer months. The Bow Valley Parkway is closed to vehicle traffic each June and September, otherwise we do share the road with vehicles. Given it is a speed-reduced secondary roadway, we typically don't see a lot of traffic volume on the road. To avoid the crowds and sharing the road with any vehicles, I would definitely recommend our Sundance Canyon eBike & Hike program for you. The canyon is only accessible by bike/on foot so only a fraction of visitors will ever see it.
Excellent guide. The electrics bike was awesome going up and down the hills on the road. The views were unforgettable! We saw some long horn sheep!
