Fun ride up the mountain!
It was fun to ride the gondola up the steep hillside to the top of the mountain! The view from the top was quite awesome! Dress warmly - it’s cold on the mountain top!

Entrez dans une cabane emblématique de 4 personnes avec des fenêtres expansives et profitez d'une promenade en douceur de 8 minutes jusqu'au sommet de Sulphur Mountain. En chemin, admirez des vues spectaculaires sur la ville de Banff, la vallée de la Bow et six chaînes de montagnes environnantes. Au sommet, imprégnez-vous de vues panoramiques à 360 degrés. Explorez le sommet à votre rythme grâce à l'accès à des sentiers pédestres pittoresques, dont la promenade du mont Sulphur. Cette passerelle d’interprétation autoguidée mène au pic Sanson et à la station de rayons cosmiques du mont Sulphur, un lieu historique national désigné. Quand il est temps de vous détendre, arrêtez-vous au Castle Mountain Coffee Co. pour prendre un verre ou une collation, ou profitez d'une expérience culinaire complète avec des réservations au Northern Lights Alpine Kitchen ou au Sky Bistro, offrant une cuisine canadienne surélevée avec une vue incomparable. This was an excellent trip from Banff centre. Free bus to get there and what a view when you get to the top.

Perfect way to see the view!! They staff have outstanding customer service skills. I would recommend taking the time to go.

More than we could have...
More than we could have imagined! We had the best time! Everything ran so smoothly and we were able to take stops at benches a few times to sit and enjoy the views. I do imagine it would be a bit more hectic in peak times but we did end of September and it was great!

Sunset panorama
The gondola ride up sulphur mountain was breathtaking and the whole visit exceeded our expectations. There are plenty of amazing vantage points to take in the majesty of your surroundings, particularly from the boardwalk, which helped to spread people out and so you never felt crowded. We loved seeing wildlife like marmots and big horned sheep close up, and were lucky to enjoy a beautiful sunset. A great way to really get a sense of the scale of the ranges in this area if like us you are not a serious hiker and wouldn't otherwise get to see these views.

Spectacular scenery
Breathtaking views, well organized, and a lovely experience overall. We got some excellent coffee at the top and we walked the boardwalk all the way to the observatory. The boardwalk steps were not too challenging, even though we increase our elevation. It didn’t feel strenuous. Definitely worth the effort to go all the way to the top.

Fabulous views
There are queues but they are well managed.You are not guaranteed your position on the gondola.The views are spectular

Disappointed
Our driver left without us even though I asked him if we were on his bus, and he said no. I called and had to wait for a call back and we were able to reschedule a trip later in the day, but that put us off schedule on a few other items. Also, when I booked it said 30% off and I started to book, then it said we had extra money so I put that in and it washed away the 30% discount. The only thing that kept this from being a 1 star rating is our Driver Frank from Banff to Lake Louise. VERY DISAPPOINTED with Viator even though we have used them successfully previously. Banff Gondola Tour
We caught a public shuttle from the Banff train station to the Gondola lift station. We enjoyed the Gondola ride up to the top where we had lunch and drinks. The views were amazing ! Thanks so much, everything was perfect !
