Food tastings were great! The early tour was less crowded so it was easy to get around and see things as we walked. A little too much history sharing of the market for me but the tastings were worth it!
A fun and informative tour! I liked the easiness of it and thought I got great insights to the market area. Most samples were yummy and the guide carefully made sure everyone was ok with dietary restrictions.
Lucky was great at orienting us to the market and giving us the best little samples. He was knowledgeable, personable and timely. 20/10 recommend.
This tour was WELL worth the time and money! It was a great way to experience an otherwise crowded and confusing market. Woody was an amazing guide- he was kind, funny, and full of recommendations & knowledge. All the bites along the way were delicious! You will not leave hungry! I cannot recommend this tour enough; I would easily do this again if I were in Seattle.
We had a great time with our tour guide, Woody. He incorporated Seattle architectural history with history of the city and its food scene, which we appreciated. We also liked that the tour was split between savory and sweet foods.
Such a fantastic tour with Lucky! His historical knowledge of the market was awesome, and the extra little facts that he knew made the tour super interesting. And our samples were delicious. I love this Tour so much. Thank you you Lucky!!
So much fun! Definitely come hungry like they say, because I had breakfast a little too close to the tour and there was SO MUCH FOOD! The market is huge and honestly can be a little overwhelming, so taking this tour and getting a little sample from a bunch of different places places was the perfect experience. Our guide Lucky did a phenomenal job and my favorite stop was Hellenika for cultured gelato 😋
Great introduction to the market with lots of yummy tastings.. you’ll also learn a bit about the history of the market
This is not a food tour. It is a very informative, historical tour of Pike Place Market that also has a few very small samples of decent food. It is not meal worth of food. And I didn’t get the sense that any of the food was from places considered to be Seattle “staples.” You get to see the throwing of the fish. There is some good historical info about the Market, its origins, its role in the city over time, how it is managed, and other interesting tidbits. Lucky is obviously very knowledgeable. The tour moves very fast with almost no time to explore or shop the places you see. I guess it’s a good primer if you want some guidance on where to start your own adventures when you go back on your own time. But it is not “behind the scenes” or insider info. You could just google the history and some key spots and wander on your own and probably actually see more. And it certainly is not about the food. If you want to follow behind someone who knows what they’re talking about, have at it. For my money, I’d recommend doing 20 minutes of your own research and going to the places you want to go to and at your own pace. Overall, I would not recommend this tour if you’re looking for a foodie type experience.
Lucky was a great tour guide. He obviously loved Pikes Place community and shared his love of the community and food. It was a diverse mix of tasting that was quite good.
