Parc national de Doi Inthanon avec randonnée sur sentier naturel

Lors de cette visite, vous pourrez vous rafraîchir sur le plus haut sommet de Thaïlande tout en admirant le magnifique parc national pittoresque de Doi Inthanon. Les températures nocturnes sur le pic peuvent être aussi basses que -8 degrés centigrades. Pendant la saison froide/sèche, les gelées nocturnes sont fréquentes. Les températures diurnes peuvent être étonnamment froides, alors n'oubliez pas un pull à manches longues. En montant, nous marcherons sur le célèbre sentier de la nature, Kew Mae Pan (novembre - mai) ou Pha Dok Siew (juin - octobre), puis visiterons les cascades de Wachirithan, The King et Queen Chedi's (les meilleures vues sur le parc se trouvent ici), puis au sommet du Doi Inthanon, la plus haute montagne de Thaïlande. Près du sommet, nous emprunterons la promenade dans la nature d'Angkha où vous pourrez vous promener parmi la flore et les forêts uniques qui poussent à cette altitude. Il y a des villages Karen et Hmong dans les limites de Doi Inthanon et nous verrons ceux du marché local en descendant la montagne avant de retourner à Chiang Mai.

Vous serez pris en charge à votre hôtel (ou à un point de rendez-vous désigné) entre 7h00 et 7h30 (l'heure exacte sera confirmée après la réservation). Profitez d'une heure et demie de route panoramique jusqu'au parc national de Doi Inthanon, où votre premier arrêt est la cascade de Wachirathan (Diamond Creek Waterfall), l'une des plus grandes du nord de la Thaïlande. Connu pour ses cascades puissantes, ses embruns brumeux et ses arcs-en-ciel fréquents, c’est un point fort incontournable du parc.
Faites une courte promenade dans la forêt tropicale luxuriante des hauts plateaux pour atteindre le sommet de Doi Inthanon, le point culminant de la Thaïlande. Situé dans le parc national de Doi Inthanon, à Chiang Mai, cet endroit pittoresque – connu sous le nom de « Toit de la Thaïlande » – se dresse à 2 565 mètres (8 415 pieds) d'altitude. Ne manquez pas la chance de prendre des photos mémorables au panneau du sommet, marquant le sommet de la Thaïlande.

Such an amazing experience! Choo our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, friendly and really took the time to talk to us about Thailand's culture and history. The nature was spectacular and we enjoyed meeting members of the Karen community. Overall a wonderful day which we would thoroughly recommend if you are visiting Chiang Mai!

The tour was amazing despite the weather. It was cloudy at only one stop after we arrived, but we were still able to see the monuments and take great photos. We visited many beautiful places, and lunch was included. All entrance tickets were covered in the price as well. This was a great example of money well spent and excellent value for what was included. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Pick up was from our hotel was great Our guide was very friendly and enthusiastic The trail was well managed and guide told us about the local tribe We visited the local hill village During our lunch which was well catered for the weather turned bad. We continued our tour despite poor visibility and soaked to our skins Only found out this was normal and not told prior to the tour

With rain and fog, we didn’t see much at the pagodas but Choo was great in helping us understand the history of the area and made some great jokes along the way! The trek was the best part! The beautiful landscape and generosity of the locals was magnificent. Ending with a tea/coffee tasting topped off a great trip!

Overall, we are glad we did this tour because it did hit the highlights of Doi Inthanon National Park. However, be forewarned that this tour was more like 12 hours and you don’t eat lunch until about 3/3:30 so it is a very long day. I think if the timing and organization were improved, the overall experience would be much better!

This was a full but very fun day with our guide Kahn and driver Sam. Door to door our trip was from 7am to 6pm. We stopped at the waterfall, did some market shopping, and hiked two hours to the highest peak in Thailand. The trek was fabulous with breathtaking views. Note the incline is steep and there are many stairs. After hiking we visited two pagodas and enjoyed a late lunch at an outdoor restaurant. Then stopped to sample coffee and tea at a local growers market. Kahn was very personable and friendly. A beautiful memory of our trip to Thailand.

The overall experience was wonderful. We were picked up from our hotel within our window. We were lucky that our group was quite small so made everything much easier, moving, trekking, waiting at bathroom stops. Galaya our guide was very sweet and she was super energetic and made us try different fruit and made sure our needs were covered. She took a ton of photos as well and sent them to us at the very end. The day trip is generally long and gets hectic, so be prepared with some snacks. Lunch was towards the very end so any fruit or snacks we bought were essential for energy levels. The 2.5km trek is about 2.5h for a small fit group of people, I’d say it could take longer if you have people on your group who need to go at a slower pace. We literally ran a lot, any steps going up we’d run and rest but also stopped a lot for photos and some historic info. Make sure you have a rain jacket (may weather), good shoes (climbing are best but we had regular running and cross fit shoes on and it was fine, a bit slippery). The drive from and back to Chiang Mai didn’t feel super long, about 1.5h but went by pretty quick and our driver was also fast, very sweet man. Because we went in May, we couldn’t see the gorgeous views of the village from above when reaching the peak because of the fog so keep that in mind for rain season.
