If you are Italian American, you might start to feel a little uncomfortable as the guide’s enthusiastic (gleeful?), graphic depiction of Providence’s Italian American criminal past goes on for an inordinate length of time. Since the guide claimed to be a history buff, he might have provided a little balance by mentioning that William Paca of Italian descent was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and that Thomas Jefferson’s assertion that “all men are created equal” was inspired by the writings in Italian by his friend Philip Mazzei.
Terrible the guide call me to cancel the tour 1 hour before it begins I request my refund He told me reschedule tomorrow but I couldn't take it

Our driver and guide, John, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area as he grew up there. He was very personable and welcoming. There were only 8 of us in the group which made it very nice. We stopped at several locations and saw most of Providence. I would highly recommend the tour!

Local guide who knew so many interesting facts about the history of the city of Providence. The small tour van was a bonus, easy to get and out of for pictures and better views. Many streets were closed due to a big sports event, but our guide knew his way around the city and we were able to see everything. Great tour w lots of information.

Phil was an amazing guide! He told us many stories, history highlights and he made sure we experienced the local feel along the way. Great tour of several districts and neighborhoods in Providence including the Brown University Campus. Jon was an excellent guide giving interesting historical facts about both Providence and Rhode Island. Highly recommended!

We had a fun and informative tour of Providence, led by John, who was a fantastic guide—engaging, knowledgeable, and easy to follow. The tour itself was a great length, though we definitely could’ve used a bit more time at the first stop to fully enjoy all the culinary goodies. One thing to note: the meeting location was changed. Thankfully, we received a call ahead of time, but some other attendees hadn’t, which caused a bit of confusion at the start. It was the first tour of the season, so a few small kinks are understandable—and honestly, they didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment at all. A great experience and well worth it!
