Awesome experience and instructors. Learn how to handle a sword and perform some signature moves. Dressing up as a samurai. Took pictures in a beautiful temple. Shoot a short video of a fighting scene. Feel immerse in the Japanese culture. Location is nice. Took a train from Kyoto station for about 5 minutes. Walk for about 8 minutes to the location. Instructors were nice, informative, patience, and professional. There was a couple in our group that was very rude and inconsiderate. While the instructors were explaining and giving lessons, they just leave and do whatever they are doing. The instructors have to pause and wait for them to return in order to resume. This happened so many times. One time we have to wait at least 10 minutes. The session is time limited. Very inconsiderate of the instructors and other people times. The instructors might have another group behind us. Other people might have other plans so need to leave right away. At the very least have the courtesy to tell everyone what is going on instead of just taking off. During this whole time, the instructors were courteous and accommodating. They never seem overtly upset. I would not be surprised if they were internally upset. Highly recommend this experience!

Very fun! You’ll start by learning a few techniques with a sword, then you’ll pick a traditional samurai outfit, then practice for a filming experience. You’ll film outside in front of Myokaku-ji Temple and take photos as well. The instructors are so kind and fun. A unique experience we won’t forget!
