The trip was nicely organized. Could have gotten some more time in Charleston for folks who took the carriage tour to see the Charleston market. The ferry tour was ok, there was a boxed lunch provided, could have been better. The Boone plantation tour was very historical and educational.
Great guide. Wonderful trip great harbor tour
Well structured and varied day consisting array of activities that made the 12 hrs pass quickly. Muchado about local history and a flavour of the past. Recommended.
The tours were great but needed much more time at the on the sites. fort Sumter was seen from the Harbor Tour and not actually on the fort. The harbor tour was great since it was very hot. The carriage ride was very informative. We did not have time for the City Market, which was very interesting. We had a great time overall.
We had a group of 8 adults and the day held something for each of us. Shopping, history, walking, sight-seeing—everyone had a good day!
We traveled in a very comfortable luxury bus. Our bus driver was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a full day of sightseeing well worth the fee paid
Be advised: 1 - When opting for transportation only you will be travelling with folks who purchased full tour packages. You will make a plantation stop on the way home which adds 30 minutes to trip. In fairness, arrival time was within the advertised window. 2 - Bus temperature set to 'elderly mode' (read: HOT). 3 - Expect a rest stop right before Charleston arrival adding 20 unexpected minutes. This will cause you to miss the 9:30 Fort Sumter boat. With luck you can reschedule to 12. In summary, the website could share a few more critical details. 5 stars for our bus driver. He was very clear with his information once on the bus.
Everything was effortless efficient from pick up to drop off as well as transitions between each event. Joe was a great driver patient and explained all at each transition Loved the carriage historical tour of Charleston as well as the plantation tour & visit Great communication between site operator and myself. Very responsive & much appreciated Our only negative was the boat ride. Mainly the narrator was very monotone which even as much as we appreciate history it was difficult to stay engaged The lunch provided was excellent per my husband (I am gluten intolerant so I skipped). Husband said bread quality & deli meat - the entire “lunch box” was great & highly recommend.
Absolutely no time to walk around the market. Very disappointing. Don't pick the boat ride tour if you want to see the market. 2.5 ?hour drive there and back and we didn't get to walk around at all on our own.
This tour is a busy day and overview of Charleston. We're sorry if you felt rushed but that's why we offer the option to book transport only and walk around on your own all day. Perhaps next time, you can choose that option directly.
Was a pretty nice tour. Saw many highlights of Charleston and some of Boon Plantation. Would have been nice to see more of the plantation and gather more history about it. The Carriage ride was very good, and very informative. Our guide mentioned and pointed out many historical aspects of Charleston. The boat ride was ok. I thought the box lunch was the highlight. The narration was boring, and didn’t appreciate them mentioning and telling us how much to tip them. If I was to do the tour again, I would just do the Carriage ride and market .
