The show itself was highly entertaining. The production and performances were good to great, the energy was high and the interaction was fun. That said, the venue was pretty bad. The theater is in need of an update, and describing the seating as VIP, Gold or "plush" is just not true. We were also surprised by the absence of a live band. (May be our fault.) If you go, be prepared to be underwhelmed -- if not disappointed -- by the setting. It's not what one would expect from a successful, long-running show. Recommendation for management: change the seating sales pitch and leave out the bit about dressing up. In my opinion, both are wildly out-of-synch with your current offering.
When o purchased the tickets, VIP was not available so I just purchased seats. OMG by intermission, o couldn’t sit there any longer. However, the entertainment was awesome and I would recommend the show

The entertainment was excellent and great fun, BUT, the show was too long at over hours. I would suggest removing the soul train line which very few people participated in, and removing the intermission as there are only restrooms and thus took way too long for everyone in line to wait and use it. I also did not enjoy being pressured into a couples dance. With that said, the singing, stage show, sound, and the stage outfits were all excellent and would have been an easy 5 stars.

We would, however, like to clarify that we never pressure our guests to participate in the couples dance or any other audience participation. Just as guests are invited to stand and be recognized for an anniversary, birthday, or military service, participation in the couples dance is always completely your choice. We want everyone to enjoy the show in whatever way makes them most comfortable. The Soul Train line is actually a very popular part of the Original Motown Tribute Show. Occasionally, we have a night when fewer guests choose to participate, but on most nights the Soul Train line wraps around the theater. Again, participation is completely optional, and guests are always welcome to remain seated and enjoy the fun from their tables. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the length of the show and the intermission. We take all guest comments into consideration, and we’re very happy to hear that you felt the singing, stage show, sound, and outfits were all excellent. Great show. Entertaining and interactive. Better to buy tickets directly from the website instead of through a third party. We paid a lot more through a third party.
