Options de l'excursion
Itinéraire
Nous commencerons par le parc national de Mossman Gorge, qui constitue la partie sud de la forêt tropicale de Daintree. Votre guide partagera avec vous ses connaissances sur la flore et la faune locales et répondra à toutes vos questions. Il s'agit d'une marche aller-retour facile de 500 m, principalement le long des promenades. Nous dégustons un délicieux thé du matin au centre des visiteurs de Mossman Gorge. Votre choix de café à piston ou de thé Daintree avec une mouette traditionnelle servie avec de la confiture, du miel et de la crème.
Ensuite, nous nous dirigerons le long de la Captain Cook Hwy à travers le canton de Mossman et au-delà des champs de canne à sucre jusqu'à la forêt tropicale de Daintree.
Sur la rivière Daintree, nous embarquerons pour une croisière pittoresque sur la faune à la recherche de serpents, de magnifiques oiseaux et bien sûr des puissants crocodiles d'eau salée. Sur le chemin du retour dans l'après-midi, nous traversons la rivière Daintree à bord du célèbre ferry Daintree et profitons de la vue magnifique sur la rivière.
Vous profiterez d'une promenade guidée le long d'une promenade dans le parc national de Daintree. Avec une abondance de flore et de faune à découvrir, vous aurez une réelle compréhension de la façon dont vit la forêt tropicale de Daintree. Il s'agit d'une promenade facile de 650m aller-retour.
Pour le déjeuner, nous nous dirigeons vers le restaurant On The Turps situé au Heritage Lodge. Savourez un délicieux déjeuner préparé à la commande dans ce restaurant en plein air niché dans la forêt tropicale le long du Cooper Creek.
Après le déjeuner, vous êtes invités à profiter d'une baignade rafraîchissante à Cooper Creek. Cette belle crique de forêt tropicale est facile d'accès par un chemin depuis le restaurant et exempte de crocodiles. Détendez-vous et profitez de la tranquillité.
Il est maintenant temps de partir vers Cape Tribulation, la région célèbre pour le dicton où "la forêt tropicale rencontre le récif". Vous avez le temps de vous promener le long de la plage ou jusqu'au belvédère, une zone chargée d'histoire qui vous est expliquée par votre guide expérimenté.
Sur le chemin du retour vers la rivière Daintree, nous nous arrêtons pour une glace aromatisée avec des fruits tropicaux cultivés localement. Un vrai régal en vacances !
Et un arrêt à l'Alexandra Lookout pour admirer la vue magnifique sur la forêt tropicale et une vue imprenable qui s'étend au-delà de Cairns au loin.

Les ramassages commencent dans le CBD de Port Douglas à partir de 7h25. Soyez prêt à l'extérieur de votre logement à ce moment-là. Selon notre horaire, nous pouvons arriver quelques minutes plus tard chez vous. Important : Nous ne proposons pas de prise en charge depuis Cairns.

Great taste of the Daintree and cape tribulation. Very much looked after by Andrea on a well paced day out seeing lots of crocodiles, some rainforest walking and finishing off with ice cream.
This tour is amazing! Andrea’s knowledge and passion for the history, the indigenous culture, the flora & the fauna in this beautiful part of the world is contagious and leaves you wanting to learn more. Daintree Rainforest is beautiful, and you should see it if you're in the area, but maybe not this tour group. While the overall day was wonderful, there were a few things that kept this experience from being five stars. Our guide, Kim, was extremely rude to my family and me, constantly pointing us out from the group as Americans and even asking us our political stance on current events. This made my family and me very uncomfortable with our guide. I am sure many of his comments were made as jokes, but they did not land with us. He constantly mentioned his views on politics, hippies, and Papua New Guinea, as well as details about his personal life. I was expecting to learn more about the rainforest than I did. He also said that it is okay to drive drunk in the rainforest, since there are no cops up there. No one found that joke funny. For the amount we paid, I was hoping to get more time in the actual rainforest. While I understand that the rainforest itself is far from Port Douglas, I was hoping not to spend most of the day in the small van, and yet it was. Not a complaint, but something other travelers should know. The river cruise was the best part of the day, as we were not with Kim. The guide for the river cruise was excellent, and was the most I learned about the rainforest the entire day. He was great at spotting crocs and telling us about them and their home. I wish the cruise had been longer than it was. The food was okay. The coffee/tea experience was wonderful. However, lunch was served very early for me, before noon, which was not ideal. The ice cream was wonderful, but note that it was not included. The best parts of this tour were definitely the cruise and time in the forest; my family especially liked Mossman Gorge. Cape Tribulation was also beautiful. The natural beauty of Daintree is the only reason that my review is as high as it is. However, Kim's rude jokes and comments that made us feel uncomfortable were really unacceptable. Definitely see the Daintree Rainforest, but reconsider if this company is right for you.

The Daintree was incredible! Our guide, Dale, was very knowledgable and friendly. Wildlife is hard to spot in the rainforest, so seeing the Boyd Forest Dragon was extra special. Truly a beautiful place and the croc sighting exciting as well.

A fantastic day! Our guide Peer was absolutely brilliant, his knowledge was outstanding, we learnt so much about the Daintree Rainforest and the whole ecosystem. We were also very lucky to be able to see a cassowaries and a few crocodiles! Highly recommend this tour and hopefully you are lucky enough to get Peer as your guide.

We had the best experience. Our guide, Cam was amazingly knowledgeable and charismatic. We had various sightings of animals, birds and insects. I think we managed 7 sightings of Cassowaries. Our mourning tea that was provided was lovely. Made up of Daintree tea and scones (with jam and cream). On our river cruise we sighted a five metre crocodile named Scooter. Lunch with about five different choices was amazing. The Barramundi was delicious . Take your bathers for a swim in the most clear and inviting looking swimming hole after lunch. The Daintree and Cape Tribulation has to be seen to be believed, totally amazing. What better way to end the day by calling in to grab some delicious ice cream.
