Culture alimentaire taïwanaise et cours de cuisine

It was a fantastic experience. Wayne was a natural foodie and storyteller. He started us out in a morning market, shopping for fruit and vegetables and tasting some delicacies. We then moved to his studio and cooked gua bao, beef noodles, and cucumber salad. From scratch, including preparing the bao dough and steaming the bao! My kids who never cook loved the experience as well. Priceless.... And delicious.

The market tour and cooking class with Wayne was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable about local ingredients and dishes, and he’s great at sharing your enthusiasm for food. He was very kind to hold a class with only me, and he invited one of his Taiwanese culinary students to join as well. It was a wonderful experience to cook and chat with locals. Wayne’s recipes were delicious and manageable enough that I will be making them when I go home. He intentionally creates them with ingredients that are easy to find elsewhere for that reason. I would definitely recommend this class! The class fee included the market tour, the instruction, and several fruits and a local tea from the market. The class space is a well-set up apartment with a dedicated and spacious work area.

We were here on a teacher convention and had an absolutely fabulous time. Wayne was incredible! The location was quaint, the kitchen was incredibly clean and inviting. Sinks / bathrooms very easy to access. Portions were plentiful and delicious. Ingredients were fresh and so flavorful. The group we were touring with was a hoot which contributed to the great experience, but Make My Day Cooking Lab really did make my day. Can't wait to make dumplings at home... I NEVER would have thought that I could, but now... I'm sure going to try.

We started by meeting Wayne at the designated spot. Since it’s right next to the metro station, it was incredibly easy to find. Wayne’s English is completely fluent, so my partner was able to fully interact even though she doesn’t speak mandarin. We started with a tour of the local market which was much better than expected. Tried some snacks that we would not have otherwise bought ourselves. The cooking portion was the highlight though of course. Not only do we get his family recipes, cook and eat delicious food, but Wayne is extremely knowledgeable about cooking techniques. This was such a good experience that we will be booking it again the next time we are back.

Wayne the chef is a knowledgeable personable and great cooking teacher. He shared his culinary experience in an easy but professional and skilled manner. Thankyou for a really great day!

My stir fry cooking experience with Chef Wayne was outstanding! I learned a lot of new techniques from the class. Chef Wayne is very knowledgeable! He has an easy going demeanor that will put you at ease regardless of your culinary skill level. The actual kitchen (cooking lab) is spacious and clean!

Fantastic experience!! They really went above and beyond and I feel I got a lot out of the class. I would highly recommend including it in your trip!
