I found this company through a ChatGPT search for a good whale watching tour and Eagle Wing was one of those recommended. I particularly liked the company's conservation credentials too. I found the live chat useful for identifying the right trip and boat for me (semi-covered), and the whole team and crew were very professional. They think of everything, and provide alot of information about the local wildlife, not just the whales. A great experience.
Had a great trip out today with Laura, Sarah and captain ( sorry can’t remember name) Seen so many animals and very helpful in pointing out sight and interesting info. Laura had mic which was easier to hear but both very knowledgeable
Everyone involved with the tour did an upstanding job of orienting, caring for and educating our boat load. And we saw whales! I would only recommend that guide wrapping up the tour include the fact that there is a tip box on the way out so people have time to dig in their pockets for cash! They are so worth a tip!
Worth every penny . Liam Lilly and Lori and Russ were all great and extremely knowledgeable . They were amazing we saw so many whales and learned so much
Always an amazing experience but our most recent trip was the best one yet. So many breaching humpback whales around us that we lost count! You know it’s a good trip when the guides are shocked at what they are seeing! Shout out to the crew, Riley and Jer, they were outstanding. We will be back!
Eagle Wing not only delivers a top rate wildlife viewing experience, with lots of interesting insight, narration and breathtaking sights, but they are doing GOOD WORK for these animals and eco-systems. While out on these tours, the boats are collecting vital information and even samples for scientists in the area, AND they are monitoring and reporting any whale injuries/ entanglements so that rescuers can come on the scene quickly. They also raise money for organizations like the Sierra club and invest in education for school children. Sarah, one of our guides, was so friendly, knowledgeable, and not stumped by any of our many questions. I learned so much. And Ryleigh was able to identify the individual names of each of the humpbacks we saw immediately from their tails. Love these folks!
What a great afternoon. Our guides Lily, Laurel, and Liam, we’re the best! You can tell they love what they do. Very knowledgeable and very kind.
Great experience despite the wind and drizzle!! All of the guides/naturalists were brilliant - we learnt a lot. Shout out to Captain Rod for getting to the right locations to see the whales and wildlife and Derek, Carol & Emma for the info that they shared with us - brilliant!! Would recommend the trip to anyone interested in wildlife - just brilliant!!
What an awesome tour. Lilie our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We saw seals, a sea lion, orca and humpback whales. It was a small group (12 people) on the open top boats. There was plenty of room for the group size and you could easily see the wildlife from all areas of the boat. Highly recommend Eagle Wing tours and the Whale and Wildlife Cruise!
We had an incredible experience with Eagle Wing Tours in Victoria! We chose the open boat tour, and it exceeded every expectation. The crew was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the local wildlife. They took the time to make sure everyone on board had a great experience and never made us feel rushed. The wildlife viewing was phenomenal. We were lucky enough to see an abundance of orcas, humpback whales breaching, and sea lions—all in one trip. It was an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our vacation. If you’re looking for a whale watching tour in Victoria, I highly recommend Eagle Wing Tours. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!
